We considered many options for our Kyoto visit and wound up being very, very happy with our choice. The house was truly beautiful in how it was designed and decorated and the location is both super convenient - you can easily walk to lots of restaurants and stores and such - and also manages to be pretty quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was very clean. Shower/bath area was also very clean and easy to use and obviously relatively new. We were a little concerned how we would feel about not having a sofa, but found the seating area very comfortable. Staff were very nice and very helpful with information and changing out towels and trash and even giving us water bottles. We really loved exploring this neighborhood and found it easy to get groceries. Washer/dryer worked great and was very convenient. Highly recommend!
The one small thing is we could have used a rice cooker, but we were fine with cooking it in the large pot they provided.

Location was great. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful details in the space.
Very little space to relax or move around.
Second bedroom was Japanese style floor mats and had to request to set up. Not enough quality pillows only 2 for all beds total.

Very pretty house, the staff was wonderful.
There is no living area and the second bedroom was small for three kids. No where comfortable to congregate in the evenings with family.
