Close to Yasaka Pagoda, helpful staff, and short walk to a station. Also helpful that we had a washer/dryer.
Quite small but expected in Japan, comfortably fits two.

Comfortable beds, nice mat area, quiet and very well located to Gion and some temples. Reasonably priced.
No cutlery or bowls. No washing up liquid. Cleaners don’t clean until 3 days after check in so our rubbish was a bit hectic. Kids slept on mats which were comfy… but tbh kind of a pain to put them away every morning. I think better for a 2 night stay than 3. While a fantastic location for some of what Kyoto has to offer, it’s not great for access to a train line if you are planning on seeing more sights further afield.

Nice traditional Japanese design. In the middle of Gion. Staff were lovely and helpful.
No kitchenette amenities provided - no plates, cutlery, paper towels, dish soap, etc. No instructions for washing machine despite it being particularly complex washer/dryer.
Air con faced two beds but not into rest of room, so either people sleeping in beds were too cold or people sleeping on futons were too hot.
6 mins to nearest convenience store.
