The apartment is lovely, from the moment you open the beautiful, tall wooden doors on the street, until you see the courtyard beyond, then climb the marble stairs to the first floor and go inside. We liked that it was so large--there were 6 of us for most of the week and we never felt as if we were on top of each other. Having so many bathrooms felt luxurious. Beyond the apartment, the connections to a taxi service (Mr. Fortuna is wonderful) and to a personal chef who came to the flat and made one of the best meals we ever had (plus is super friendly and engaging) were great. Francesca was helpful in all her responses to our questions. We will be back! :)

1st time staying at a VRBO. Don’t think it could have been much better. Great location, plenty of room and Daniele cooked us a gourmet meal!
Will be recommending to friends and will hopefully be back.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful apartment! Very accurate description of this place was provided. My family did the Breakfast at Vatican Tour so, the proximity was perfect! I suspect the views from the terrace and balconies have become obsolete over the years with newer buildings being built but, it is so close just a walk a block to see it. Public transpo nearby to easily get to the other attractions of the city. Great place to come back to after sightseeing all day long!!

Amazing property and location. We had a wonderful stay.
We also very much enjoyed the chef experience. The food was exceptional

This property was perfect for the 6 of us traveling together. It had everything we needed and more. The design and layout was updated and decorated beautifully. We all liked that it was in close proximity to restaurants and shopping. Also a quick walk to The Vatican was a plus! Communication with Francesca was excellent. She immediately addressed all of our questions and gave us great recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this lovely home a second time at the end of our time in Italy. Location is perfect to the Vatican, and many great restaurants. Everything was still wonderful. I cannot say enough about Francesca she is available for any questions and guidance. Francesca helped us with a private transfer from FCO and back. Wonderful vacation home! Enjoy!

This was a gorgeous apartment in a perfect location. It has all the modern conveniences and across the street from the indoor Mercato Trionfale where you can get everything you need. There is also an underground garage with a 1.50 euro hourly rate. We never found the
" terrazza" and maybe it is because we did not have keys. Also, the shower in one of the bathrooms did not drain properly. Otherwise, highly recommend this property and Francesca was always available. Fortuna cars got us to the airport.

We had the most memorable experience in your beautiful home for our first trip to Rome. It was even better than pics. It was a perfect size for our family & friends. It was conveniently located to Vatican City, a fabulous bakery, and market. We used Cecilia for all of our tours, and we couldn’t have been happier. She was so informative, and the sweetest thing. We also used Mr. Fortuna for our travel to and from the airport, and he couldn’t have been better. If we return to Rome we will definitely stay in your home again.

This apartment was perfect for our group of 4. Three bedrooms and multiple baths made it easy to get ready for our day. We used the services of the chef our last night and it was delicious. Any issues we had were quickly dealt with by chatting with Francesca through WhatsApp. We also used the recommended car service for all our various pick ups and drop offs. They were super flexible and it was great walking out of the train station to the black van waiting for us to get to the apartment. I would recommend this space to anyone looking for more room for their travel group.

We had an excellent time during our stay in Rome. The property was very nice, just like the pictures. It was close to restaurants and a great market right across the street. Francesca answered our questions quickly. I would definitely recommend for anyone with a family. It is close to subway which was very easy and quieter than the city center.

The apartment was beautiful and the location was perfect. Very clean, modern and comfortable with great restaurants, coffee shops and the world-class market across the street.

We were three brothers and their spouses for 4 nights after a 2 week travel through Sicily. Although it was rainy one full day, the apartment had everything that we needed to gather around the table for dining and socializing We brought in food from the local market and restaurants just steps away.
The remainder of the time we were able to walk and use local transportation for easy access to the main attractions of Rome.
Only downside was trying to interpret the directions for the drying machine. Although there were instructions it took several people much time to interpret the small detailed symbols,
Would be nice to have a simplified step by step easy to read guide. Most just gave up and tried to hang their laundry in the bathrooms but the warming racks did not heat.
All in all a most beautiful apartment with plenty of attention to detail.

This was the perfect layout for 3 adult couples to have fairly same size bedrooms and own bathroom suites. Plus a shared main bath and a perfect size living, dining, and kitchen area. The location was also perfect! Walking distance to the subway and Vatican. The restaurants on that block were also very friendly with great food! First trip to Rome for three long time friends and our spouses. The espresso machine was great and all the travel guides and books that were there.

The apartment was well equipped with everything one needs. It was in a great location & if a taxi was needed, Fortuna, the taxi service that was recommended to us by our host was also very good. Always on time. Francesca, the host was amazing. She responded immediately to text if there was something that we did not understand or if there was a problem. I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend to family & friends.

We are all used to exaggerated statements when a vendor/owner wishes to attract people to their property., then when we arrive, we see something different. Not with this place.
There is nothing exaggerated about this elegant, super comfortable, apartment in central Rome. It is perfect in every way, and Francesca, the owner, was extremely attentive and caring throughout our stay. We can’t say enough about the place or the service from the owner and recommend it unqualifiedly.

The apartment on Via Andrea Doria has been nicely renovated in an older building which is located across the street from a fresh food market where deliveries and traffic can sometimes be heard from the street level. The back side of the apartment is very quiet. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious yet the master suite’s queen bed is situated very low to the floor whereas the other beds are of an expected higher height. There are no mirrors in the bedrooms. Overall, the decor of the apartment is welcoming and the large screen television offers many channels for inside entertainment. The kitchen is nicely appointed. Expresso pods were available but ground coffee was not, so I purchased coffee from the quaint bakery shop located on the same block. The description for this property lists that it includes a washer/dryer but in reality it’s a washer/spinner. The spinner cycle allows the clothes to steam dry to a slightly damp-dry finish. Hanging up clothes to dry after spinning is a necessity. My advice is to wash clothes in the sink or carefully in the tub then hang them to dry for optimal freshness. Maid service might not occur so if having fresh bath towels is important, take time to purchase new towels locally. The metro is a 10-15 walk from the apartment whereas the bus stop is closer. Be certain to take the apartment key while sight-seeing because the code/lock can be unreliable for re-entry. I truly enjoyed the driver service the owner suggested and found that it was worth the cost. During the stay I contacted the owner two times, once for operating the radiator heat and once to open the door code/lock. Both times the owner responded with advice and/or assistance. The apartment temperature was comfortable for the winter but the towel warmers stopped radiating heat. Since these were minor inconveniences, I enjoyed the stay. The owner charged a tourist tax separate from the VRBO contract. I paid the requested amount in cash as suggested by the owner. After returning to the states, I inquired with VRBO about the separate cash charge. VRBO instructed the owner to include the charge within future contracts to prevent confusion and to please reply to my inquiry. I didn’t receive a response from the owner which I think could have alleviated my concern resulting in no need to mention the cash charge. I recommend this property for its value in space and location. American travelers, allow VRBO to guide your every step of booking your European stay.

Property was Beautiful!!!! It was centrally located. If you are like me and have to rent your own car, know that parking is not included, but the great thing is that right across the street is public parking, it cost about 20 euros a day, but its very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend it.

The host was very helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. The apartment is very nice and is as described. It was very comfortable and was plenty of room for a family of four including two teenagers who are both over 6ft/200 lbs.
The neighborhood was very convenient b/c it was in walking distance of the Vatican, and there is a subway station just a few blocks over (less than a 10 minute walk). I can’t really talk about the nightlife in the area because with teenagers that wasn’t on the agenda, but there were plenty of very good places to eat within walking distance. There was a great cafe within 100 yds (Fiorentina 1942).
I would definitely make it a point (as recommended by the hosts) to bring the house keys because the code lock can be a little squirrelly. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful apartment appointed perfectly. The rooftop was a perfect spot for cocktails. The beds were so comfortable. The wifi worked well and the location was perfect. 5 minute walk to the Vatican and a 15 min Uber ride to all the sites! The kitchen had everything we needed. The driver recommended by our host was great. Can’t recommend this beautiful apartment enough. We hope to return to Rome and to this lovely apartment.

The apartment was lovely, spacious and all the facilities we needed for our 4 night stay in Rome. The location was good with the market opposite, and lovely bars ,restaurants close by although was very noisy particularly if you had the bedroom that faced onto the street.
Francesca responded very quickly to messages and we were able to store our luggage as we arrived earlier than check in.
We used Mr Fortuna recommended by Francesca for our transfers and they were brilliant, comfortable vehicles with a prompt and friendly service.
We would definitely like to stay in the apartment again although would not book through Vrbo again!
We booked the apartment with the price in sterling and was charged in dollars which with the rate ended up costing a lot more than expected!! I tried contacting Vrbo via telephone and email with no response.
So due to the shocking customer service and paying a lot more than expected will definitely not recommend Vrbo!!

The unit was very nice. It looked exactly like what we expected from the pictures. We felt like we were experiencing lavish ancient Rome. The location is excellent, with the market across the street and grocery store, restaurants and GELATO nearby. Worth every penny. Highly recommend it to friends and family. Only issues were the washing machine/dryer operation and maybe more towels. Otherwise,5 stars for sure..

Our group of 5 family members, all over the age of 50, enjoyed the location of the property as well as the amenities, with a couple of exceptions.
The bed in the first bedroom had several broken support slats which made the bed very uncomfortable. Francesca plans to make the necessary repairs ASAP. She was aware of the problem, however, she claimed there had been no complaints until ours.
The shower in the third bedroom was huge and very well appointed, however, the drain was extremely slow and the shower stall would fill to a depth of about 2 inches during a single shower. It would require over an hour to drain.

The apartment is well appointed and perfect for a family. Francesca was also extremely easy to communicate with. I appreciate when the owners check in to see how things are going and ask if there is anything they can do to make your stay easier.
The area is also perfect for walking. This was our 7th trip to Rome as we have family there. We would definitely stay here again. I highly reccomend this apartment.

The private rooftop garden was wonderful with kitchenette, dining table and chairs, lounge chairs. We could see St Peters Dome lit up at night. The recommended tour guide and transportation service were excellent. Lots of good restaurants right on the block as well as huge market across the street. The owner, Francesca was easy to contact and very helpful. Carol H.

Our stay in Rome for 3 nights was wonderful! This apartment is not only very nicely designed but also very clean. Bathrooms are amazing! Plenty of space for a group of 5. Location is also great. Restaurants and cafes all in walking distance. Short taxi rides to all areas of Rome. Francesca, the host was so helpful! She was always available to us and made some great suggestions. Reservations for dinner she made for us, proved to be our best night in Rome!!! Would definitely return!
