Amazing stay from start to finish! Larry was an outstanding host — welcoming, helpful, and full of great local tips. The house is spotless, cozy, and the location in Obertraun is perfect for exploring Hallstatt and Dachstein. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. We felt at home from the first minute.
Honestly, nothing. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Haus Happy is a real little gem. Every corner of the house is welcoming and charming, just like Larry, the owner. He gives personal attention to every guest, enjoys chatting, and is always happy to recommend places to visit and things to do in the area.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location is excellent, with beautiful views of the mountains, and from the terrace you can even catch a glimpse of the lake. It is a perfect base for exploring Hallstatt, Gosau, the Dachstein region, and the Narzissenfest.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with fresh warm pastries, jam, cake, yogurt, fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, and cold cuts. Everything was fresh and prepared with care.
The village is peaceful and quiet, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.
If you do not speak English very well, there is no need to worry. Larry always finds a way to communicate and make sure you understand each other.
We had a wonderful stay and would happily return in the future. We highly recommend Haus Happy to anyone who would like to discover the beauty of the Salzkammergut region. 😊🏔️🌼💙

The area is very calm and quite, the house is very cosy and pretty. The breakfast was excellent, delicious with wide variety.
The owners are very helpful, friendly and lovely.

We had a great, quiet time... hosts were really lovely people. The room was cozy, nice view, very close to Hallstatt. The breakfast was very good. They have a little common room with some refreshments, and you can also buy beer and wine. Everything was clean, no complaints! Definitely recommend!
