Excellent location close to railway station and town sights. Hotel was clean with good bathroom and well equipped. The breakfast was good and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The dining area is nice and reception has comfortable area to sit in. Effective air conditioning.
The entrance to the hotel is an unwelcoming doorway and passage and the Reception is on the first floor and you need to carry bags up two flights of narrow stairs. They are currently constructing a lift and that will be a big improvement. The room (no7) didn’t have any drawer space and it was not comfortable to sit in, and the wardrobe door wouldn’t stay closed. We were at the front of the hotel so it was noisy till very late so we had to keep the window closed but the aircon was good. The Wi-Fi went down after the first day and didn’t get sorted before we left.

The location is good and so is the breakfast.
The shower is teeny tiny. It’s about 2x2 foot, so you have to turn the water off to wash your legs.

It's very near to the Railway Station and walkable from Old Town. Breakfast is average and exactly the same every day. The only heartwarming thing was, the gentlemsn at reception helped us by carrying two heavy bags down stairs while returning home. A million thanks to him.
There are few reasons for being not so satisfied.
The first being, hotel is situated on the first floor of an old nondescript building and has no lift. So you need to carry your heavy bags yourself. This may be a problem for some senior citizens with heart problem or joint preoblems, like me.
Second was, that the toilet - bathroom was not attached to the room. It was outside. So everytime you need to use, you need to close your room, walk down past 2-3 rooms and open it with keys. The whole thing becomes quite noisy, especially at night.
The walls are thin, so one can easily hear ppl talking in the next room Or their TV / Radio. This becomes a headache at night. One mis night our neighbour kept radio on full volume and had gone to sleep. It was irritating and we had to request the Reception to intervene.
The fourth reason is, even though the room is cleaned every day, they did not change bed sheet etc in 9 days of our stay. Sometimes they forgot to keep tea/coffee supplies.
They can improve few things to make it more lovable.
