A very unique experience staying at a grand estate!

The property is an estate. It is beautiful in a lovely location.

The mattress was quite old and needs to be replaced. Nevertheless, it was comfortable.

Such a unique experience!!

An amazing historic mansion located on a huge green private property. Such a good experience spending the night, and feeling like a part of a scene from “the crown”. So peaceful and quiet. Frank was a great host, very kind and made us feel like home. We slept in the standard room, that was clean and had everything we needed. it is a bit small so if you want the full experience try to go for a suite. But whatever you do, don’t give up on this place cause it’s awesome!

The place is located about 30 minutes away from Kilkenny, so after a long day of driving it was a little bit rough to also drive there for a restaurant reservation. Take it to notice when planning your trip.

The property was absolutely beautiful. A peaceful setting and extremely quiet. The breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve had at a bed and breakfast. You won’t be hungry!

LOVELY home with an even LOVELIER hostess! She made us feel right at home and went out of her way to make us feel like royalty. We had the most fabulous homemade breakfast!

It was more distant from Kilkenny than I thought but that would be my fault.

Our favorite stay in Ireland. Our rooms were spacious,, furnished with antiques and tastefully decorated. The large grounds had many places to explore. The host gave us many helpful local tips about places to visit and good restaurants, and was so kind. Breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful formal dining room. Would recommend to all planning a trip to Kilkenny - very worth the drive out of town to stay in this gem.

Everything is amazing. One of the best iv ever stayed in. Fantastic house, surroundings and attention to detail top class. Iv stayed in some amazing places around the world But this house and welcoming and food by Mary was very memorable. I do recommend to book the tea and scones once again top class.. Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful House and Wonderful Hosts

Grange Manor is a beautifully maintained historic property located about 3 km outside the town of Ballyragget in Co Kilkenny. The city of Kilkenny is about 15 minutes drive from the property. The whole house and the grounds are lovely and you almost feel like royalty staying there. The hosts Mary and Frank are extremely helpful and friendly. The gourmet breakfasts are an experience not to be missed. Everything is cooked to perfection, with a wide variety of options on offer, all augmented by Mary's beautiful home baked bread, scones and jams. We stayed two nights and were very sorry to leave.

A Country Castle Treat

Mary and Frank are super attentive hosts and had a great local dinner recommendation for us. The location, while remote, made this stay extra special. The house is large and grand, as was our room and bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and offered an opportunity to meet with other guests of the property.

There is no wifi in the bedrooms (a router in each bedroom could fix that) and the wifi offered in the Parlour room was very slow/spotty. The hot water in our shower vacillated between warm and not warm. The water was not a big issue, but having a more reliable internet service - and one that extended to each room - would make this stay better.

Relaxing comfortable stay - a cut above!!!

Lovely manor home beautifully restored and Mary & Frank were extremely accommodating and welcoming. Excellent breakfast choices customized to one’s preferences. Good location to explore Kilkenny , Cashel, and the Midlands. You can get to many places within an hours drive or less. Very quiet home and area too!

Royal stay, we will come back!

We expected bed&breakfast, we didn't imagine to have a royal like room and breakfast in a "downtown abbey" like house. It was such an exceptional experience, If the room, shared living room, and breakfast room are simply fantastic, the huge well maintained grounds of the estate is an extra pleasure, just walking around.

Unique and perfect stay with a marvellous host.

From Mary's thoughtful messages to ensure our safe arrival to our departing after our weekend stay, which felt like leaving good friends. Our room/suite, The Theatre, was stunning, spacious with abundant character and far exceeded any expectations we had. Huge bathroom with fabulous shower and luxurious bath enjoying views over the estate. The grounds and views from the Manor were amazing. The highlight though, has to be Mary's home baking! Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast accompanied with freshly baked scones and soda bread. Mary and Frank couldn't have done any more to ensure we were satisfied and we were set up for the day! We look forward to spending time there again in the future and sharing the unique experience with more of our family.

This was perfection. We were Lord & Lady of the Manor for one night. What an exceptional house - decor superb, such a wonderful restoration. Breakfast , home cooked, traditional touches, faultless
