Staff including servers were good. Room was a good size. We were upgraded to Std double room but the room was opposite the shared bathrooms. Luckily there was no noise as I think they did not have many guests using shared facilities.
Dinner needs improvement. Things were not replenished at breakfast especially scrambled eggs, sausages etc.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch das Besitzerpaar inkl. Begrüssungstrunk. Da ich an Architektur aus der Zeit der Jahrhundertwende interessiert bin, habe ich viele Infos zum Haus bekommen.

I chose this hotel mainly for its excellent location it was perfect for my needs.
The staff were also wonderful, always ready to help and solve problems. Initially, I was given a room that didn’t match my original booking, but the team was very friendly and quickly found a fair compromise.
And I have to mention the breakfast-it was delicious and a great start to the day!
While the location and staff were great, the conditions in the rooms left much to be desired, especially considering this was the most expensive hotel I stayed in during my trip, yet it turned out to be the lowest in quality.
1. No parking. The team does inform you in advance, but that doesn’t make it any more convenient. You still have to walk to a public parking lot, which isn’t exactly close or practical.
2. Room facilities. I had to manually hold the drain in the sink open to let the water flow out 🙈 and no, it wasn’t broken, that’s just how it was designed. The shower mixer was leaking. The amenities were minimal: no safe, no fridge, even though the price is very much in line with the market. The shower was tiny with an extremely low ceiling.
What bothered me most was the feeling of discrimination against solo travelers 😀 if you book a single room, not only is the space minimal, but at breakfast you might be seated at the tiniest table in the most inconvenient corner, as if to make sure you’re reminded you came alone. 😂
That said, the staff do their best to stay friendly and helpful despite the shortcomings.
