Great location, beautiful lake-front position and views
It’s a pretty busy spot but that’s to be expected as it’s right next to Palazzo Borromeo

The location was perfect for arriving by ferry and carrying luggage up to the hotel almost a zero walk. The room had a spectacular view. It was large, well appointed, light and airy, comfortable, and beautiful. We particularly loved the restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner there both days of our stayand all four meals were perfect. We found the table with the most amazing view and sat there each time. The servers were friendly and personable and very attentive. The island itself is charming and once the ferry stops running at night, you have the place virtually to yourself. It is heavenly.

Beautiful position overlooking the lake
It’s an old building and therefore the rooms can be a little noisy

The room was comfortable and very quiet.
While the food in the restaurant was very good, the service getting food and/or drinks was dreadful at times. Several times after waiting for a long time, we had to go "find someone." Some times there was np one around at all. Very frustrating. Also, if you try to eat on the terrace, the birds will attack your food and land right on your table. NOTE: Don't go to the Islands in the summer as you will roast in all the restaurants. There is NO air conditioning in any eating establishments. Had we known this, we would not have booked on the Island.
