The property itself is beautiful. The 2 pools are a good size with ample lounge chairs & views. The beach (which is not that crowded) is easily accessible right from the lower pool. Super nice beach where children & adults can swim freely without worrying about waves or riptides. The breakfast buffet is very nice with a large variety & the welcome drinks were appreciated. The large loungers in the lobby are a nice touch & the store in the hotel has some nice stuff. Rooms: If you are in a double, they are very nice rooms. They are small but the beds are comfortable & the balconies are a good size. There are coffee makers/electric kettle for coffee/tea which was appreciated. The DJ was a nice touch each day both at the upper pool & also at the lower one. The location was great as you could get a water taxi directly from the hotel to san antonio. The price for 2 adults & 2 children was cheaper than a one way taxi at dinner time. The structure is quite modern & of newer construction. the staff were great. The family had a great time relaxing. Sunsets were beautiful right from the property. Fitness center small but open air right open to the pool. Great if you want to get a little workout in.
The family room we booked did not have a balcony. The second bed is a pullout couch so when this is out & there is no balcony the room seems extremely small & a little claustrophobic. The 2 family rooms, located on each on the 2 bottom hotel floors have balconies but these were under renovation and not available when we were there. The room we had was either on the 3rd or 4th floor. Just pay attention because I don't think I would've booked a family room here had I realized that I had booked one of only 4 rooms in the hotel without a balcony for them. The rooms for 2 all have balconies. Also we booked the room for 4 and arrived after midnight. The pullout sofa had no sheets for it in the room & we had to go back down to the lobby to get sheets. For the size of the hotel & how many rooms there are, the elevators could be a bit larger.

The location was good and the breakfast choice was excellent. Floriano the tattoo artist is a great addition to the hotel too !
The roof top bar is nice and has a good vibe with lovely view of San Antonio. Rooms were very clean.
The reception staff were unhelpful when we were allocated our incorrect room that we had paid for and told that they were fully booked so that was that (we had paid for a sea view and instead got the road) so wasn’t thrilled. One lady in particular was very abrupt to a member of our party when we asked for a taxi and help with a late check out.
Also I would say that one of the staff members on the roof top also should not perhaps be in hospitality as she also was not helpful when we turned up for our sunbed booking.
