The extensiveness of the gardens, great facilities, staff, black beach
Nothing much although without a car one doesn’t have much choice of where to eat or go.

This is our second time at Azul. We absolutely love it. It's the best place in CR. So secluded. So clean and nice. Never crowded. Food is absolutely AMAZING

The staff was very nice. We went there as part of our honeymoon and they had decorated the room and left us a nice fruit bowl and chocolate strawberries. That was a very sweet gesture. Also throughout our stay the staff were very nice in general. We also liked the gym a lot, it was very well prepared.
The food at the restaurant was disappointing. It was very expensive and not tasty. Same extends for the breakfast unfortunately. There are also not a lot of options for other restaurants nearby. The room was a bit dated. The location makes it very hard to move around and explore. The hotel is right on the beach, but the waves there are so strong, you cannot swim. So basically you have the sea in front of you, but swim in the pool.
