About this house rental
Nestled in Puget Sound, this charming house for $263 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. A custom built home on the end of 3/4 mile of gravel country road. Beautifully finished yet very comfortable. Centrally located in North Kitsap County. House is on 8.5 private acres that is a very nice mix of open sunniness and forest. There is lots of porches both covered and open Large yard with a fire pit and room for outside games. Interior is 2400 feet of comfort. Well equipped full kitchen with dinning room. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 on the second floor have king beds and one has a queen. On the first floor bedroom has a full. There are 2 full baths, on the second floor, one in the master bedroom with a shower and claw foot tub, one shared with a shower tub combo. The first floor bath has a claw foot tub. House is not child proofed. The water is on a privet well and sometimes has a mineral smell, it is perfectly good to drink.

This is a great house for a family stay. Remote and small road to get into, but worth it if you desire somewhere with the feel of being in the middle of nowhere with amenities within 15 minutes. Poulsbo is a picturesque town with dining and shopping options. This house's photos don't really do it justice!

We attended a wedding in Kingston. We bought fresh fish and cooked it on the grill, played cornhole, drank wine, and had a wonderful time. The kitchen was unusually well appointed. I have used many VRBOs. This was absolutely one of the nicest. Quiet, and surprisingly well located for exploring Port Gamble, Port Townsend, even Bainbridge Island over to Seattle.

The woodworking throughout this house is extraordinary. It looks like a finish carpenter’s labor of love. Even the lamps are hand-made. Be aware that the house is down a 3/4 mile long gravel road - your car will get dusty. Also, not all the neighbors keep their places as spotless as our host’s place.

The home provided ample space throughout and it was well supplied with all the household items one needed. We were on the go so much we didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of the outdoor games, but did enjoy a campfire in the back one night. As the property is about .8 mile off the main road, the serene and quiet environment lent to a relaxing stay. Carl was quick to respond to any communication sent his way. Thank you, Carl, for providing a clean and beautiful home.

Wonderful quiet family trip.
We came out here and had 6 adults. This home is everything it says it is and more. Perfectly stocked kitchen with almost anything you can think of, beautiful property with amazing views. The owners' dog Roscoe came down several times a day to visit with us, which was really awesome and helped me with missing my own pups. We bought him some dog treats and he knew which one of us is the softie (me of course). Very remote and perfect for us! Will stay here again if we come back to Washington!

Good for the price
This is a nice, large, house on a nice lot. Very private down a long gravel road. Enough parking for 4-5 vehicles. Nice outdoor patio space. There was a fire pit but unfortunately there was a burn ban while we were there so it could not be used.
The listing stated it slept 12 when we originally booked, but only has enough beds to sleep 8. So if 4 people want to find a place to sleep or bring air mattresses, then there is "room" for them to sleep. That was misguiding on the website.
The water has quite an awful smell, smells and tastes like sulfur. So highly suggest buying and bringing water like we had to. 80% of the outlets don't work so it was difficult to find a place to plug in your phone or hairdryer. The first night we arrived the pilot light had gone out and so we had no hot water, luckily we were able to fix it on our own as we didn't hear back from the owner until the morning.
Overall the house served its purpose for us, but would be a 5 star stay if these things were fixed.

We loved our stay in this gorgeous house on a very private wooded lot. Note the amazing craftsmanship of the woodwork throughout while enjoying the well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the beautiful yard and landscaping while playing the provided yard games. Lots of space to spread out our group - highly recommend this VRBO.

Beautiful Getaway
The house was truly beautiful and the host very friendly and accommodating. It was very comfortably furnished and stocked with all kitchen essentials - and then some! Good location close to both Kingston and Poulsbo. Felt as if we were far from the madding crowd but close to town at the same time. Will definitely seek out this rental next time we visit the area.

Spacious and Comfortable
This house is located down a scenic, wooded dirt road. The house is spacious and well appointed. Plenty of windows made the rooms light and airy. We loved the window seat overlooking the large grassy backyard and often drank coffee there in the mornings. There is a wrap-around porch, deck, and balcony. A grill, outdoor table and seating, and fire pit added to outdoor living. We also made use of the volleyball net, badminton set, and croquet set. The kitchen was very well stocked, as were the bathrooms and laundry room. The mattresses were comfortable, and the linens were of high quality. We enjoyed the daily visits of the neighborhood dog and cat. If we return to the area, we will rent this house again.

Perfect Home for Families
This home was lovely and was equipped with everything that we needed.
The home was nicely decorated and spacious and the beds were comfortable. I loved the little upstairs outdoor deck situated between two of the bedrooms. A perfect place to sip coffee in the morning while you listen to the birds sing.
The lower level porch was beautiful and the yard was huge. A great place for families to cookout or start a campfire in the fire pit. The wooded setting made it perfect.
Three bathrooms and four bedrooms were ideal for our family...with room to grow if either if the kids should get married. There will still be plenty of room for them!
We would definitely like to go back when we can stay longer. Our only regret is that it was rainy most of the afternoons and evenings, so we didn't have the opportunity to use the fire pit. Hopefully, we can spend more time outdoors next time.
