Beautiful Victorian house with great features

Pleasantly located on the High Street, with the carpark a short way away - next to the large Coop store, which is great for filling up lunch boxes. Tastefully decorated room, in keeping with the Victoria theme and a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and the walk-in shower worked well. Good tea and coffee making facilities, with the biscuits being welcome. The small fridge was a welcome addition. Pleasant facilities downstairs, in the form of a guest lounge and a breakfast room. Good quality breakfast and a easy checkout.
Not a major, but due to the configuration within an old building, the room was quite dark in the night, although a torch was provided.

The room had a lovely view of the garden and church. The cafe downstairs serves delicious scones!

The full English breakfast was good. The guest house is located right on the High Street so very convenient. Parking was easy enough in a nearby public car park, as indicated by the owner.
I arrived after 18:00 h, so there was no one there to greet me, which was a pity. The single bedroom called "The Snug" was cramped. The decoration is 1950's with bespoke DIY additions and some period pieces thrown in to complete the retro-boutique ambience. There wasn't room to open a suitcase on the floor and move around without stumbling over everything else. The bathroom was compact and dated. The person cooking breakfast didn't seem too pleased, but the other lady that came along afterwards was more amiable.
