It was a good location for us as we were passing through on our road trip making time to see a friend on the way. It is a pub with rooms so we had an expectation of the facilities. Alex and Richard were very welcoming. We also ate dinner there which was fine. Breakfast was good, made to order at the time you had arranged the previous evening. We enjoyed our stay overall and would return if we were in the area in the future.
Whilst the breakfast was good the earliest time to have it was 9am. I think this is a bit late. We would have preferred 8am or 8.30am as we wanted to get on the road again to our next destination. The bedroom we stayed in was looking a bit tired but again this is primarily a pub with rooms.
