This place was amazing! We have jestskiis and were able to park them right under the house! The grounds are beautiful! The home, inside, is very lovely and done up beautifully. We are already planning our next trip in August.

Beautiful studio cabin overlooking the river! Our 18ft Bayliner fit perfectly under the cabin with immediate access to the river. We visited Silver Glen Springs (45 min ride) and Drifters waterfront restaurant. Our new favorite place to stay!

We stayed for a long weekend and brought our boat. The cabin was renovated with high end details throughout, and was spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed and the view from the porch was breathtaking and peaceful. We would highly recommend for a couple, and we plan to return.

We stayed a weekend out there. The property was very peaceful and relaxing. The only issue would be the pull out couch you sleep on as it is not very comfortable and can use an upgrade. We had to use the air mattress in the closet to sleep. The host were very accommodating and kind. The cabin had everything you need for cooking. Overall we had an enjoyable experience

My son and I stayed for a week. we were looking for a true Florida river experience and that's what we found there. It was out of the way and peaceful but not too far from town. The house was very interesting, clean, and comfortable. The owners called when we got in to make sure everything was ok. They gave us some dining suggestions that were fantastic. I will stay again when back in the area. Two thumbs up!

Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary together for five days. We didn't want to leave. It is cozy and comfortable. I brought our favorite pillows and blankets, food and drinks. The restaurants right around the corner came through in a crunch when we didn't catch any fish. Tasty and affordable. It was so quiet our first night my husband was whispering inside and on the porch. We got comfortable and enjoyed the views of the boats going back and forth, the birds, manatees and one gator. We brought our fishing boat. The only comment I would say to others with boats is to pull in, hold up and assess the driveway. We have a long truck and trailer, so we decided to back out and back in with our trailer after we dropped off the boat at the boat ramp. I parked it in one of the parking spots and could navigate in and out without an issue. We had a great visit with my sister and husband who brought our 9 yr old nephew to fish off the dock. Plenty of outside room to keep him entertained and an opportunity for us to share a couple of meals together before they headed home that evening. Enough space for visiting and being an efficiency the opportunity for us say toodle to have privacy to share each other's company. We are already wanting to redesign our own porch to replicate the experience.

A beautiful Waterfront Studio
This was our 3rd stay here and we'll definitely be back! The beautiful nautical themed boathouse has a screened in porch overlooking the St John's river surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. There is even a short boardwalk through the private wooded property and a picnic table and chairs by the firepit. If you like to fish, it is so convenient to dock your boat right beneath the boathouse and ride out onto the river. Silver Glen Springs is just off of Lake George where you can swim in the cool crystal clear water. A very relaxing getaway!

The air mattress provided loses air all night so you have to get up all through the night to reinflate. The bed linens and bath towels smelled awful. We left a day early and forfeited a nights stay just so we could be comfortable.

The property was very secluded and romantic! The sound of the water lapping underneath was very hypnotic and relaxing. The screened in porch provided an AMAZING view of Saint John River and all the sights and sounds of river life. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was ideal... with many springs just a short drive away. WE WILL BE BACK!

Cute Boat House!
The owner is so sweet and the property is adorable! We really loved the yard and the water view. The screened in porch was a huge bonus for us. We spent a lot of time out there! It's the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while watching the boats go by.
The town of Astor was the perfect location for us since the purpose of our visit was to spend our time in Ocala National Forest. There's plenty of kayaking and hiking near by. The local restaurants we tried were all good too.
We truly wanted to give this property a 5 star rating, but in all fairness to other properties we have rented, this one does lose a star for the sleeping arrangements. We tried the pull out couch, but really couldn't see how anyone could sleep comfortably on that, even with the foam padding that we found in the closet. We opted for the air mattress, which was OK, but after a couple of nights we found ourselves wishing we had a real bed.
All in all though, we had a very nice stay.

It was a perfect place for 2 people. We loved the phone call pre checking in from the owners for any questions we had. We will definitely return in the future.

Wonderful place. Can keep your boat right beneath you with direct access to the St John's river for fishing. Beautiful view from the screened in patio. Nice board walk through the property and a fire pit. Our second visit and we'll be back.

I’ve rented VRBO properties before and never had an owner call prior to my stay to give me details and answer questions I had. I felt very prepared for what to bring because of that. They were available when we needed them through out our stay and were most helpful. Several reviews mention the sleeping arrangements so here is our take on that. This is a studio, there is no bedroom which the listing states. We slept on the pull out couch and there is an air mattress available as well. I am 105 lbs and I slept like a baby the whole week. I was very comfortable! My husband is 185 lbs and he really felt the bars in the mattress where I did not. The difference is going to depend on your size but the foam padding made it completely unnoticeable for me. He agreed after 4 days there, that it was still a wonderful property and we would both recommend it. There is a heavy coffee table you will have to move out of the way to access it. We were able to do it ourselves but if you are physically unable, be aware of that. We brought kayaks which we were able to launch from the house. Huge perk! Highly recommend checking out Silver Glen Springs for snorkeling. $14 for the two of us to hang out all day - can’t beat that. We saw a manatee and an otter at the house - really neat experience to be so close to nature!! There are 3 huge sliders for great views even when indoors. We had all of our meals on the patio - it was INCREDIBLE. There is a large boat docked at the house. This did not interfere with our view of the River. You can hear the water and the hot underneath the home rocking in the wake at night. It didn’t bother us - we enjoyed the sounds but if you are bothered by that, it’s something to note. The neighbors were quiet - no issues for us as another reviewer mentioned. Some people just like to complain. This is a lovely home to rent for a getaway. It was just the 2 of us. I don’t think we’d have liked to share the space with anyone else. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Wonderful house, great location. I was a little nervous reading some of the reviews regarding the sleeping arrangements. We stayed for 3 nights and slept amazingly!! We will definitely go back again.

The place is absolutely charming with a wonderful boat motif. We had all our meals in the screen In porch at night with the fans and the lights we felt it was like a restaurant. A beautiful 72" colour TV . All the moderate convenience including a refrigerator that gave ice and water. I'd recommend this place to any couple that wants to get away and have a private weekend. We fished off the docks. Drink wine by the fire pit . The view was amazing. As I tell everyone It's were rustic meet eloquence We would definitely go again
