We loved the location of this hotel. The apartments were wonderful, Our family had three different ones. But most of all the location was so great. It was really near some touristy places, but not busy at the hotel. Also, grocery stores are hard to come by in Venice and there’s a small one nearby, which made it super convenient to grab little things.

The place was clean and very inviting. Elevator/lift will not go all the way to the top floor. Can easy sleep 6 people since it is a 3 bedrooms with 2 full bathroom. They only allow for 4 people to stay even if you will pay for the VAT for 5 people. The other places we booked in Florence and in Rome welcome all 5 us with open arms and warm smiles tell us we just need to pay them 5 people VAT fees.
We stayed at Corte Nova in Venice for 3 nights as part of our trip through Italy (Venice, Rome, and Florence). We were a group of 5, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the host.
The apartment itself is advertised as a 3-bedroom with 2 full bathrooms, which easily accommodates 6 people. One bedroom sleeps 2, another sleeps 1, the living room has a sofa bed for 2, and the upstairs bedroom with its own bathroom can sleep 1 more. Based on this, we expected our group of 5 to be comfortably accommodated.
However, upon arrival, the host insisted that we pay an additional €310 for another bedroom in a separate location about 5 minutes away. This forced our family to split up, even though the apartment clearly had the space to host all of us together. The extra room we paid for went unused, but we were told we had no choice. The host also tried to pressure us by saying we would encounter the same issue in Rome and Florence, which turned out to be untrue — in every other city we simply declared our group size and paid the standard VAT in cash with no problem.
Even more concerning: DO NOT use the safe. We placed money inside, changed the PIN, and believed it was secure. Unfortunately, the host/staffs still had access and we lost money. They also entered our apartment without notice to take items like the iron and brooms, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. This clearly shows they have access not only to the room but also to the safe, even after giving us the keys. Lesson learned — never trust the safe here for valuables.
This experience left us feeling that the host was more interested in making extra money than in being honest or respectful. The location was fine, but the lack of transparency, forced extra payment, and security issues were extremely disappointing
