Meliá Costa Atlantis Tenerife

Nice modern hotel with great views (although due to clouds we only saw Teide on the last day - it was still breathtaking enough!). Breakfast was great - lots of options to choose from. Location is also quite central - all the places walking distance away. Easy check in and check out online saves you a lot of time!

Our stay started with towels with lots of dirty spots. Although we informed the reception and received new ones, it did not give the best impression. The room seemed mostly clean but the extremely strong chlorine smell stayed in it for a while. Floors could be cleaned better - white socks got dirty very quickly. The BIGGEST mood killer was elevators. During all our stay, the third elevator was out of order and going up and down in the morning was a disaster. Walking 10 floors up after breakfast is definitely not what you want to do on holidays (otherwise you have to wait for 15-20 minutes for the (already full) elevator to come and then it stops on every floor). Staff elevator was also not an option because it was heavily used in the morning by the housekeeping. Luckily, we are a physically capable young couple (even though it was still tiring) - I cannot imagine how it feels for families with kids or elderly. Keep this in mind while booking! Finally, parking. We could reserve an underground parking spot for the second half of our stay at arrival but it cannot be reserved in advance before arrival which makes zero sense. Parking around the hotel is extremely difficult. There is a supermarket nearby where you can park for €35/day - otherwise good luck finding a spot. Overall, the hotel is nicely looking and generally matches the photos, however, it means nothing when you come to relax and have to think and stress about all of the points above.

Beautiful pool, great location and helpful staff.

There were some dangerous slippery patches around the pool area (specifically near the bar). Water was cleaned away but returned (seemed to be coming from a drain). I slipped and hurt myself.

Good sea views and access to beach.

Lift not programmed well at peak times

It is a great location with beautiful ocean views. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good in the club.

There is no ac or heat control in the rooms. It is central climate control. It is not cool enough during the day and to warm at night. In addition there is no bathroom vent. Not deal killers but I would not stay here again for those reasons.
