staff did not notify us that the door we entered into in the morning is locked at night and second door around the corner has to be used it was raining no staff to answer the phone the night guard finally answered the room tv turned on twice in the middle of the night and we were locked out of our room the next day after eating breakfast as their restraint because we were 5 minute pass check out time big hassle to get it open ridiculous very disappointed. will not stay there again stayed at much nicer places during my visit this last time to Mexico with excellent service and a third the cost

- money was stolen from my brothers wallet - Food we ordered for after the wedding party that we attended was taken out of the room during night service and we weren’t even offered a free coffee or new food in return. - sheets were dirty and had stains on when we arrived

Double Billed…Issue unresolved

The property was beautiful

I gifted the trip to my elderly parents. The entire bill was prepaid on my credit card. The front desk staff proceeded to charge the entire bill onto my dad’s credit card. After 5 days, they were unwilling or unable to issue a credit back onto his card. This is unacceptable!! I do not recommend staying here, despite the the fact that is a beautiful hotel. We travel all over the world and have never experienced anything like this. The credit should have been immediately issued. Bad business!!

Beautiful Boutique Style Hacienda

The property itself was quite beautiful not that far from the center. Only stayed for a night since we didn’t want to travel to late from San Miguel de Allende to Guanajuato. Loved the boutique style hotel, with individualized spacious rooms, enjoyed the balcony and artisanal hand made soaps that they offer during our stay.

It would be nice if they took advantage of the space to place Live Music/DJ/Tailored Music Playlist on weekends and set up a small open bar with Signature Drinks and small shareable appetizers.

Fabulous location. Wonderful staff.

Breakfast was wonderful. Congrats to chef and to the service in general. Everything was fresh and extremely well prepared.

The shower in the bathroom was either very hot or cold, difficult to get right temperature. The water also flooded out below the shower curtain!

Marvelous.

You can’t beat the location on the most beautiful street, a jump to the park, a few blocks from town, yet quiet. The staff were gracious, accommodating, and communicative. I had a late check-in and they gave me a free upgrade! The patio restaurant is lovely. The chef imbues the good with his Oaxacan touch.

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and in a great central location! The rooftop view is also cool!

The hotel is very clean and presentable. The artwork is unique and beautiful. The staff is friendly and courteous.

We were charged for two breakfasts our first morning at the restaurant in the hotel. When we booked the room we were informed on the booking that breakfast was included and children are free. We discussed this with the front desk agent. She said she had to review the booking agreement. After reviewing it, she agreed to refund the charges but now that we are back in the U.S., we have yet to see the refund or any communication about the refund. If we are going to get charged for breakfast, please don't say on the booking that breakfast is included in the package purchased. Our bathroom was beautiful. The water pressure was excellent. We even used the jets with our bath. The only drawback was the slow draining water. Otherwise, we loved pretty much everything else.

Nice place...great staff!

The Hacienda El Santuario was a nice find. We wanted a place that was central, but not in the middle of the noisy activity and never-ending parties around the town's central square. It's on a beautiful quite street, just blocks away from all the action. The setting is stunning, with all the touches of a colonial gem. Room was very comfortable, although the A/C didn't seem to kick out quite enough cold in this 90 degree+ weather (not an issue most of the year). The staff was one of the best parts: extremely cheerful and helpful with great tips. Thanks!

Adorable!! staff was amazing. arrived much earlier than planned and they accommodated us. Daniel, at the front desk, was friendly, attentive, warm, and always made himself available for our needs…he really cared!

Romanric, relaxing, oasis!

this hotel boutique is PERFECTO in every way! The decor is so artistic and relaxing. The service is A1 plus! The bedding, shower, tv, are first class! There are so many fine touches like water provided in room, chocolate after cleaning, and late check out. The food is delicious and the restaurant staff is lovely!

I loved everything! I will stay here every time!

Fantastic staff, very helpful, attentive and friendly.

I stayed for five days. Room was only cleaned twice. Also, I got horrible food poisoning from BK last time we stayed so either went off property or had food delivered. That said it’s still a fantastic property.

Cucarachas, Cockroach in all the rooms and terrible front desk attention

The location is fabulous

The rooms are terrible, in our first room was "fresno" we found a cockroach in the bed while I was lying down, immediately we called reception to ask for another room, also in this room they didn't have AC so you could feel the humidity in the room. Then they gave us another room at the top of the hacienda, it was fine until we spotted another cockroach and it was raining also had 3 leaks, it was late we were tired and we didn't want to move again so I killed the cockroach and we went to bed but we didn't turned off the lights, we were disgusted and afraid, it was the worse experience ever. Also the toilet didn't flush, I had to fix it by myself putting down the toilet lead and pushing the water tank Finally we did the checkout the next morning complaining about the situation and showing them the video and they didn't offer anything, furthermore the receptionist was doing a check in when we were leaving and he offer them some soaps for the shower which our receptionist didn't offer to us(we only had shampoo tubes in the room), that made me feel unappreciated. I will raise a complaint with booking.com to get a refund from this horrible experience

Beautiful and we would come back in a heart beat!

The entire hotel is absolutely beautiful and the location cannot be matched. It is centrally located and you can easily walk to so many amazing places. The staff was so kind and helpful and we loved the restaurant area and the bar. We had a wonderful stay!

One day we had an issue with hot water but it was quickly fixed.
