Loved everything about this place. It’s so well done. The staff are wonderful (hey Dulce, Nancy, Christina), the details are perfection, the location is in the middle of everything. Highly recommend.

Every design element is carefully considered. The breakfast is wonderful, and the staff are absolutely lovely. The bed is beyond comfortable. Location is super central. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to experience San Miguel.

Mesón Hidalgo is undoubtedly a charming property, beautifully renovated with great attention to Mexican tradition and art. The location is perfect, the rooftop terrace is lovely, and the girl at the front desk was always kind and helpful.
However, the overall value doesn’t match the high price point, especially when compared to nearby 5-star hotels offering a wider range of services.
The biggest issue is the noise: the room is located right above a nightclub, making it nearly impossible to sleep without earplugs — and on some nights, not even those help.
The shower is outdated and not very comfortable, and while breakfast in the room is a nice touch, it could be more generous and include savory options.
