The property was stunning and the staff was very attentive. The rooms were comfortable and the beds were wonderful after a long day of walking and exploring. We also really enjoyed our breakfasts every morning

Location was uphill from the UNESCO historic center, 5-10 minute walk. Lots of restaurants, places to see nearby, walking the neighborhoods, and botanical garden. Staff was warm and welcoming, custom made delicious breakfasts. The property itself was amazing, magical, something out of a novel, the views, staircases, decor, foliage, patios, multiple elevations, made the place unique and special.
No glasses in the room or bathroom, which was odd. Had to snag one from the kitchen. No real desk space so don't expect a place to do your remote work comfortably. The place is on a corner of two busy if narrow streets, so traffic noise is evident. I stayed in the room with the elevated bed, which was very comfortable, but a step ladder was needed to climb in. Getting down was easier, but could be challenging for shorter people or those with mobility issues. Actually, with all the stairs I don't think it would work for the latter.

Loved the atmosphere and the care with which the property is maintained. Every vista and room was beautiful and the artworks were so interesting. Staff were friendly and our room was always cleaned and done early in the day.
The overhead shower was difficult if you didn't want to get your hair wet so either change to a slide bar shower which is much more "women friendly" or provide shower caps.
Breakfast was great (especially the coffee) but because no one speaks English, it would have been helpful if the English menu had described what the menu item was instead of just giving it an English name.
