Excellent location just across from the train station. We had a large penthouse room which was spacious, big comfy bed and good air conditioning. The hotel was quiet when we stayed and you couldn’t hear too much noise from outside despite the central location. Mainz is quite walkable and it wasn’t too far from the old town. The hotel was spotlessly clean and reception was friendly. Breakfast buffet had lots of variety, and there was an excellent supermarket literally around the corner. We would stay here again for our next visit to Mainz.
Very minor points really: the hot buffet items and juices were very low and could do with topping up more often, though we still enjoyed a very good breakfast every morning. The mini bar items, even just a bottle of water, are very expensive. We just bought water in the supermarket instead.
