Convenient location to train station and within walking distance to the Rhine River and old town. Great price as well.

Very close to Mainz Central train station and tram terminal. Nicely appointed hotel, very comfortable.
Nice restaurant at floor level of hotel, breakfast location.
Likely some noise from nearby bars if windows left open, but did not cause any issue for this stay.

Very easy location, in busy part of town a but quiet room, basic but clean updated interior, friendly receptionist, plus got a bonus cupcake with my coffee :-) - much better experience than expected, good value for money .
Neighbourhood can be a bit seedy but if this does not phase you, ( it did not phase me, a middle aged female) it good value for money.

Breakfast was amasing!
No AC of any kind... this is the one thing that made the stay so uncomfortable... Unfortunately we were there when it was over 40°, and 5th floor with no AC made it impossible for us to sleep. You can't breathe and you are soking wet for the whole night. Fans did absolutely nothing, just moving the hot air around.
Our bad for not checking if the AC is present but we usually travel to places where AC is a standard for a while now so we have to remember to check this in the future just in case...
