Fijne locatie en ontzettend aardig personeel met goeie tips en hints.

Alvorens we naar het hotel reisden waren we in Valle Maggia en daar was ik lelijk ten val gekomen en heb daar een enkelblessure opgelopen. Na een aantal uren te hebben doorgebracht in het lokale ziekenhuis in Locarno waren we bijna te laat voor de check-in. Ik had gebeld en de situatie uitgelegd; de dame van de receptie was zo aardig om op ons te wachten en te helpen met het vinden van de beste parkeerlocatie nabij. Dat is pas service! Gelukkig hadden we de kamer op de benedenverdieping, vlak naast de receptie, maar dit was ook de kleinste kamer dus het was een beetje behelpen met de bagage maar verder is dit een tophotel, ontzettend aardig personeel, meelevend en begripvol.

De grootte van onze kamer. Let daar op: boek niet de standaardversie als je niet alleen reist. Verder valt er op deze fantastische locatie niets af te dingen.

A cute & comfortable hotel in a great location with great staff!

The location + the hotel personnel were great! The hotel was older but very cute and updated. The room was comfortable (AC!!!) + had several extras (bottled water + coffee + fruit)!! Breakfast was small but very nice (great cheese + fresh fruit)!!

Not much could be improved - maybe an uodate to the bathrooms. My colleague mentioned that the duvet could be a bit better (one sweats under polyester blends).

Superb

Excellent location for easy access to train station, buses, and ferry. The staff was very helpful. The European continental breakfast was delicious, and the room was very clean.

The air conditioning did not work very well, so the room was a bit warm.

Lovely location and hotel

The European/Swiss continental breakfast was delicious! Fresh bread, great coffee, and delicious Muesli and jams were just part of the morning meal. The staff was kind, polite, and very helpful with information about the area. The room was small/quaint, but very clean and well decorated. The hotel sits directly across from Lake Maggiore and the pier from where people can catch the boat to cruise the lake. Bus and train access is just a few minutes away.... a great location! I would definitely visit this hotel, again!

I need to remember that "air conditioning" in Europe is quite different than what we have in the United States. There was "air conditioning" with a fan built into the room, but it did not cool down the room to the degree I expected. Once the windows were opened later in the evening, a cooler breeze came through and the temperature of the room was fine. This region is often hot and humid like in the Mediterranean, so just be prepared to sit outside along the lakeside where the breeze will keep you cool until evening time.

It was a little bit too cold in the room at night and noisy around the hotel (inofficial fireworks and perards).

Great location, such a friendly stuff, clean and nice hotel. Stayed for 1 night and it was raining heavily so couldn't really enjoy the location by having lovely walk by the lake.

As this is an old building and probably having thin walls one can hear what's going on the floor. Breakfast was missing any vegetables, classic bread butter however lots of fruits like melon, kiwi, pineapple and jams.

Receptionist was exceptionally helpful. Loved the location to the lake and the railway station

Paid extra for a lake view but need to stand in corner of window to see the lake from room 11. Also the shower tiles need attention as mildew is forming in the grout. Lady serving breakfast could be a little more cheerful

Excellent location and terrific little hotel.

The location was great, only a short walk from the train station. Even better was our room with a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. The ferry landing (for Ascona, etc.) was a 2 minute walk and numerous restaurants were within a 5 minute walk. The room was very comfortable with a small separate entryway with a couch, handy for my husband who often gets up at 3 am. Breakfast was really good, with many choices. The staff were all very nice and attentive.

There were no downsides to this hotel at all.

Excellent place to stay in Locarno.

It's a very nice, small, cute hotel. The staff is super-friendly, and helpful. A nice bonus when checking in was receiving a pass for everyone to get a discount on public transport, and the funicular train. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the centre, and at the lake front. As a result almost everything (like bars, restaurants, and boat dock) is within a short walking distance.

View from some of the rooms is not great.

Locarno, Switzerland

We enjoyed the location as it was right next lake, with a boat stop just opposite to see the rest of the lake. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast which was included was excellent, decent selection decadant and light had the choice of sitting inside or out. The cleanliness of the was on point and would definitely visit again.

The only thing we were surprised at was the minibar which was advertised on booking.com didnt highlight that the items inside were chargable if you used them until you got to the hotel.
