It was near the train station.
The room was on the top floor which required an elevator and a flight of stairs. Without AC the room would have been unbearable. Heat radiated from the ceiling and walls.

Clean, decent bathroom. Close to the train station.
Very basic room, practically nothing else but a bed, a cupboard, a bathroom, and a small TV with limited channels. Other guests were very noisy, talking in the hallways, opening and closing doors, coming and going, it all echoed through the hotel. Breakfast was basic continental. There are few amenities around, or eat-out places, other than sandwich shops at the station. Getting to restaurants involves a steep climb down to the promenade, and a steep climb back up. There is a funicular though.
