Great location for a lovely city!

Location, very close walking distance from the main train station. Close to the lake, restaurants, the co-op (the best) Hotel kitchen facilities are a great option for those not wanting to eat out every meal. Room was a good size, great windows blocking all street noise and electric shutters blocking out early morning light. Only downside was no bar fridge in the room. Bed was comfortable.

Pleasant stay

Very friendly staff that go out of their way to help you. Comfortable beds and spacious room. Nice breakfast provided with a good coffee machine. Location fantastic.

Had no air conditioning and we had very hot days in Lucerne. No bar fridge in room to store wine and drinks. Supplied with portable fans.

Very Poor WiFi in certain rooms

Excellent location, good breakfast, clean and well looked after building.

My room was on the second floor in the corner of the building and the WiFi was unusable in this room. I did inform the receptionist who told me yes some parts of the building are bad for WiFi. On checking out I was overcharged by 20CHF for borrowing a plug adapter, when I borrowed this there was no mention of a charge. However this was refunded after I noticed and complained by email. I also mentioned the poor WiFi in this email and was then told the WiFi is excellent in all rooms and I would not get a discount, I did not ask for a discount but I did explain that the receptionist had told me this was an issue with the building and they have tried everything so saying the WiFi is excellent everywhere is clearly not true. Later I got an email from the original receptionist saying that he must have misunderstood me and the WiFi is excellent everywhere 🤣 despite the fact we talked about it for several minutes and his English was perfect and even said that they have had several companies but never managed to fix it because if the old building with thick walls. Anyway, the location is good but I don't understand why the staff lie about the WiFi being excellent... It's awful on the second floor due to poor signal strength so if you require WiFi look elsewhere or request the first floor if possible it might be better there.

Convenient and excellent place to stay.

I booked the hotel for one night due to its proximity to the train station. I arrived early morning (9.30am), but they had a room ready, and invited me to have some coffee and breakfast upon arrival. The guy on check-in was helpful and very friendly. The room was clean. bathroom good size, and it faced into a rear courtyard, so was quiet.

We Aubrey and Jenny had a fabulous time and enjoyed each day we spent in the City of Lucerne =)

We enjoyed staying at the Lucerne Central Hotel. It was as the name indicates very central, very walkable and the transport in walking distance. The room we were allocated was very neat tidy and the bed mattress very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was a definite plus which gave us a kick start for our day. The break fast lounge was always neat tidy and we could relax there anytime of the day especially after getting back from our excursions. There was a coffee machine and tea and water on the house 24/7 and we could bring our take out food which we bought and warm it up in the microwave. The staff was very friendly especially the ladies which took care of us while we were there like Natalie and others. The lady at the concierge desk Priska welcomed us with a friendly attitude the day we arrived. She was very good at giving us directions and also telling us where to go and gave us complimentary tickets for the public transport. She was always enquiring about our stay. Priska is very knowledgeable of her City Lucerne. We give her a high five for her services. The other two friend persons we met and was also very nice to us was Juan Luca and Christiaan Thank you to all of you friendly front desk employees we really appreciated your care love and concern. We miss you already =) We will stay there when we come back to Lucerne <3

Comfortable, good facilities, friendly staff.

Great location, few minutes walk from the train station. Very comfortable stay and the facilities were top notch and very clean. Room size was excellent for a family. Good breakfast provided each morning. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants and activities.

central location, near to the railway station with very helpful staff

Very central for exploring Lucerne and near the station too. Staff were so helpful with suggestions for getting about and where to eat. The breakfast choice was good with coffee on tap 24 hours!

Personally, I wasn’t keen on the frosted glass door to the bathroom!

The sound of rain hitting the roof tiles outside the window is noisy but the bed is so comfy so i had a nice dream as well.

they cheat on credit card details

not so much unfortunately, breakfast was ok

they save the guest credit card details, and if you book again, they simply charge you immediately with the saved details very unprofessional

Great experience with this hotel

Very friendly and helpful reception and staff, room is comfortable and quiet and this hotel is near to the train station

Bathroom a bit smaller than expected but acceptable and wish to have more choices for breakfast

Had an enjoyable stay! Love the postcard used to welcome guest!

Friendly and helpful staff, need assistance just ask politely. Good location, very accessible. Hot coffee/tea/water, cutlery, microwave is available 24 hours in the dining area. Nice and clean dining area that you can hang out. I like the breakfast too.

Sound proofing can be better.
