Plenty of parking and easy to check in. Our room was small but had everything we needed. Nice towels, toiletries and courtesy tray with 'proper' coffee bags.
We ate at the restaurant as it was raining the evening we were staying and we were not disappointed - wow, a beautiful delicious meal. It was great to meet a local group who had come to the restaurant for a family birthday, so clearly the restaurant is well regarded locally.
Breakfast was interesting - service doesn't begin until 8.30 and the door is locked until exactly 8.30! There's a buffet with some cereal, fruit juice, a bit of fresh fruit, not much (one plum, one satsuma, and three bananas plus a few apples) and a few chocolate croissant which arrived later from the oven. Basic bread for toast. We ordered the hot food from a menu. My husband would have liked a bit of porridge to start with a 'light' option breakfast to follow but only one hot choice is allowed for the price of the breakfast which seemed a bit sad. However, the full cooked Scottish breakfast which I ordered was truly amazing! A slab of sausage (called Lorne sausage I think), haggis, black pudding, plus the usual bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans etc. Too much, but totally delicious.
The duvet was a heavy winter duvet and as the bed was quite a small double as well, it made for quite an uncomfortable night sadly.
Would have preferred a better selection of fresh fruit (or even frozen berries) and some natural yoghurt at breakfast.

Room was lovely and clean. Mattress was of good quality.
The bathroom was small in our room and storage was an issue.
