The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from the historic Gion district and also right next to a park and Buddhist temple.
For a hotel in Japan, the rooms are enormous and very well priced.
The Japanese style buffet breakfast was awseome and very reasonably priced.
If you are down for an early start, the option for a wakeup call to attend morning Buddhist prayer service makes for a great experience.
The beds were a little bit hard for my liking but I have seen much worse, and the pillows were a bit thin for me.

I experienced a full Japanese experiments during my stay there which what I was aiming for.
The location, I could not ask for a better spot than this hotel.

What a beautiful property, the staff is very professional and cordial, there are Buddhist ceremonies taking place every morning and dawn that hotel guest can participate in, also there is an public bath operating in basement floor.
The beds are a bit stiff and the beddings are oddly synthetic.
