The hotel is in a very convenient central location, and our room was lovely and cosy. It was spacious, with a good-sized bedroom and bathroom, very clean, and had nice large windows. We also really appreciated the complimentary bottle of water provided in the room each day.
Unfortunately, the main issue was the parking. Booking.com states that parking is available/included, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel as we were travelling by car. However, there is actually no hotel parking area, and we had to find and pay for parking ourselves for all three days of our stay.
This is something that I believe the hotel and Booking.com should correct as soon as possible, as the current information is misleading for guests who specifically need parking. I also requested a refund for the parking costs, as this was an important factor in my choice of accommodation.
What I found particularly disappointing was the response I received at reception when I raised the issue. I was told, “I cannot magically create a car park now.” While I understand that the receptionist could not change the situation, I found this response unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. A more helpful response would have been to acknowledge that the information provided to guests was incorrect and offer some assistance regarding the car park refund.

Easy check in and out. No frills room but spotlessly clean and central location, easy to park in pay and display opposite (cheap as well). Lots of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance and easy access to the lakes and local walks.
