The location is superb; it's very tranquil once you're away from Vinpearl Harbour and is only a short cable car or speedboat ride across to the mainland. The resort really is a luxury resort. The private beach and resort pool are very well maintained. The rooms are stunning. The Wave Bar has a great view. Staff are friendly and professional. I'd particularly like to mention the staff at the spa, where we spent quite a bit of time. All of the staff were exceptional, but Hong Diem and Thuy Tien deserve a special mention. Thank you so much!
Apart from the breakfast buffet which has lots of vegan options, there is little in the way of vegan and/or vegetarian food on the room service menu or in the restaurant, and it is expensive by Vietnamese standards (although this is expected at 5-star resorts). Coupled with not being able to bring food across from the mainland, this can make meals challenging for vegans and requires lots of trips back and forth to Nha Trang where there are many vegan restaurants. Some of the staff at the resort don't speak much English which can lead to misunderstandings on occasion.

The rooms were excellent - we had a two storey villa with a private plunge pool. It was quiet and had a partial view of the beach. The beach and pool setting was very good.
Service overall was extremely poor. The first day at lunch my husbands meal didn’t arrive - there was no follow up and with 40 minutes waiting we cancelled his meal. The second day his meal arrived 20 minutes after mine, once I had finished. Food generally is always cold or luke warm at best. We also had two takeaway coffees one day, and we charged to the room because they couldn’t take cash. They knocked on our door at 8pm to retrieve the 180,000 VND - not really expected in a 5 star resort.
The villa had electric curtains which mysteriously opened at 12.30am every night - to their credit they fixed it.
We also went to the other Vinpearl resort for lunch. The food was lovely however they double charged us on our credit card. They said they would refund us in 14 days. We demanded that we be refunded immediately as it wasn’t our mistake. After an hour they gave us the money back in cash. Mistakes happen but just the way it was handled very poor.
