This is a good hotel to stay in Ponta Delgada for a night before departure from Sao Miguel. Good facilities (pool, jacuzzi, sauna) and breakfast. Gets you what is needed and matches the 3 star grading. Probably slightly overpriced but we stayed in high season (August).

The distance to the airpot is very convenient.
The staff is very friendly.
The hotel is quite of age, which inherently is not a negative thing but there could/should be efforts done to alleviate the room and especially the breakfast room which felt like a loveless cantine.
The room was clean but old, pillows were worn out, AC was very very old and had just an on/off button. Walls and windows are not soundproof, you can hear the neighbours talk. go to the bathroom and a lot of noise coming from the streets.
Breakfast was extremely disappointing (at least compared to what we had in previous stays on this Island and other Islands). The freshness and/or the quality of the produce served was also questionable, I got tummy sick a few hours later and it can only be from what I ate at the breakfast.
There is a lot that could be done to improve the quality of the hotel.
