Gemütliches Gasthaus in zentraler Lage

Die Unterkunft hat eine sehr zentrale Lage und es herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind relativ groß und verfügen über die notwendige Ausstattung.

Eine Heizung oder Möglichkeit zum Wäsche trocknen wäre praktisch gewesen.

Alojamento fantástico!

Os donos são muito queridos e muito simpáticos, o quarto que nos forneceram era espectacular e como todas as comodidades que se procura, pequeno almoço muito bom e ambiente bastante amigável, quase "familiar"...Adoramos!

The property is comfortable and cozy. The location is very easy for walking around Ponta Delgada. Leo is very helpful and gives excellent advice of places to visit and explore. Simple breakfast served every morning. Clean room and (shared) bathroom.

Traffic noise:cars & planes. That was hardly a problem.

super freundliche Besitzer, die Nähe zum Flughafen ist sehr praktisch, wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend behandelt und man merkt, dass die Besitzer es mit herzblut und Leidenschaft bewirtschaften!

Nice hosts, lovely breakfast, clean and nice location.

The hosts were lovely, super helpful and friendly. They made great breakfast you shouldn't miss out on.

Constant planes flying over the place. We were unlucky and got a room right below the roof. Sadly we couldn't really open the windows because of rain and the fan was super loud so it was super hot up there and we didn't get a good nights sleep.

We had wonderful hosts in a great location with a spacious and comfortable room.

Everything felt personalized and accommodating to our needs. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel immediately at home. We received the information and help we needed. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for us, so close to where we wanted to be. Discounts for tours were included.

The kindest hosts on the island

Leo and Ni were the sweetest hosts and we had a wonderful time. They really care about making sure you have a great time and make the most of the island. They gave us great tips and we enjoyed getting to know them more. The breakfast was amazing, everything home made, and we felt very cared for. Very recommended!

11/10, perfect!

I stayed here my first night and met one of the excellent hosts, right at the door. He gave me a full rundown of pretty much the whole island. Sights, restaurants, foods, transport, all while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The room I had was spacious, clean, adjoining bathroom with all the amenities, perfect. After enjoying a comfortable bed there was a hearty breakfast waiting for me with service to boot. I truly couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to the Azores.

Periodically an airplane might fly over which could bother some.

Lovely start to our hols in a charming guest house

We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived and made to feel at home. Nothing was too much bother. Although it was 10pm by the time we arrived Leonardo sat down with us to give us recommendations for our stay in the Azores and they clearly love living there. The location is very convenient to wander into town. Breakfast was delicious and lovely to eat in the courtyard outside :freshly baked bread, delicious local jams, fresh coffee, eggs or fruit salad and a little cake (best pastel de nata We have tasted). Our room had a lovely little balcony and waterfall shower. It's a shame they were fully booked for our return journey but hope to be back again in the future.

As it is conveniently located just 10 mins from the airport, it is in the flight path (as is most of Ponta delgada I would imagine), but that didn't disturb our sleep

We arrived late at night but had a very warm welcome. Our hosts also prepared a takeaway breakfast as we had to leave early in the morning. A beautiful house, lovely cosy rooms. Hope to spend more time here during my next visit! Thank you!

I loved the stay at A-Típica Guesthouse. The hosts were really nice and helpful couple, there was a tasty breakfast served every day (included in the price of the room). Guests may eat inside or at a little patio. Our room was on a top floor and it was cute and well furnished, we shared the bathroom with another room, but there was no problem with that. The whole place was very clean and comfortable to use.

We really enjoyed our stay here, will be back again if we are in the azores!

We loved our stay with Leo and Nivalde. Not only was the room clean and comfortable but they were super friendly and helped us plan our itineraries nearly each day we were there!

Sometimes the bathroom was occupied when I needed it, but it depended on who the guests were and how long they took to shower. that being said, the bathroom was always very clean no matter how frequently in use it was.

the location is very near In walking distance to the center of town. The host (staff) were very friendly . The Breakfast was very delicious & fresh and cooked nicely. location is also in minutes from Airport.

Charming guest house

Very charming guest house, and equally charming owners! :) My room (with nice details) was beautiful, located at the front of the building and with big windows. Everything is very clean and well maintained. In the back of the guest house, there's a little patio, so you can sit outside.

Wonderful stay, dreamy room, amazing host! Thank you!

My room was on the top floor, with a balcony overlooking the ocean, with a private bathroom. So much room to stay in and work (great wifi too!) or just relax. The host Nivalda is the sweetest and most helpful person! Also wonderful breakfast, with eggs made by Nivalda in the moment to your liking, homemade bread and jam, and local cheese and tea as well. Good location too, within walking distance to everything. I would 10/10 come back!

Nivalda was really the perfect host! She was Amazing in giving advices on the island and very enthustiastic about her country. The breakfast was the best! Nivalda provides something new everyday, homemade cakes and bread and her mother marmelade (great). For sure we Will be back in ponta Delgada and we Will stay here again.

Anything, the guest house Is perfect. A Little new Pearl in ponta delgada.

mattress was hard. Whenever you moved whiel in bed the mattress and or bed itself made a lot on noise...crinkling sound of plastic etc but for 2 nights it was OK

The breakfast was delicious (you can try some local food !) and Miguel, who was in charge, gave me a lot of great suggestions about places to discover and food to try everywhere on the island. I will definitely return to this guestHouse if I visit São Miguel again.

The only drawback of the location is that you can hear some planes but, in my opinion, it's a detail.

Pleasant

I've had a controversial experience staying in this guest house. On the one hand, the staff was very nice, helpful and polite. The room was clean. Fair price for an individual room for a solo traveller.

On the other hand, I arrived the day after my booking started (got my flight delayed) yet the key for the room still wasn't prepared. The staff member explained that the owner took the key by mistake and will bring it back shortly. That's ok, not a problem! However, I had to wait for 2 hours for her to come. When she finally arrived, she didn't say hi or sorry. She just entered my room without knocking, placed the keys on the table and left with no goodbye. Besides, be prepared that the building has only one washroom (even no extra toilet stall or anything) for all the rooms. So, if someone decides to occupy it for more than an hour (which was the case for me), you might miss your bus or have to leave without even peeing. Also, I've seen a dead cockroach next to the stair. (though, it might have come from the street cause overall the house looked clean!) It's a pretty good place but my experience wasn't really fortunate.

I liked the location

I didn’t like having to go upstairs to the bathroom especially at night because the automatic lights don’t always come on and also it’s a very busy and noisy street. The bed was really hard and not comfortable.

Superb

Super friendly stuff, huge room with a nice balcony. Really good breakfast. The shared bathroom was well located, clean and equipped. The hostel is located really close to the airport, great if you are arriving late or need to fly early.

You can hear the airplanes above your head all day.
