Pleasant

Cottage had a washing machine and dryer.

Hosts were non-existent, so we could not notify anyone nor of our arrival, nor of our need to have breakfast… There was an envelope telling us to read the inside, but no information was present. No dishwasher. Very basic kitchen tools, not helpful for five people having to dine.

A true cosy house in Akureyri

Very pleasant cottage, very large and comfortable. Good location at the entrance of Akureyri, close from the city centre, many stores around. And to top it all, the hot tub in the garden !

Spacious and good value

Very spacious, very clean and it comes with a hottub and Netflix.

As in the majority of places we stayed in Iceland, everything is managed on-line with codes to access the key and you never meet the owners (or any other human being :)).

Very good

There was plenty or rooms and it had a washer and dryer we could use.

The stairs to the dorm were very narrow and steep. Two of us ended up falling down them.

Nice and big.

Big and comfy cottage in the middle of Akureyri. Super clean, good location (although a bit of a walk downtown). Near supermarkets. Big parking space.

There was a hot tub but it was not private nor big. We were there 2 nights and everytime we wanted to go to the hot tub it was already occupied by the people from the other cottage. It was not big enough for us to join them.

Lovely large cabin with access to hot tub. Was next to a main road in the town.

Large area, with access to hot tub. Cute cabins.

Close to main road with noisy traffic throughout the night. maybe from the dominoes car park but engines revving. outdated oven and had to make own beds.

Exceptional

Good location, nice wood interior, nice windows, good bathroom. Very spacious for 4-5 folks with two separate bedrooms and attic space as well for additional guests.

Mattress wasnt so great, it was bouncy.

The information received prior to arrival is communicated very effectivly and clearly so it is easy to arrive late or outside office hours. the cottage is quite large with two bedrooms downstairs; one with two single beds(easy to make a double bed) and the other bedroom with 2 bunk beds. The attic space is large with two single beds aswell. The cottage is very clean and offers everything you need for your stay; towels, linnens, soap, kitchen towels and so on. The outside area is very nice for a family stay. There is a large patio with a bbq and dining area, as well as green areas and a covered hotub, so it is possible to use it no matter how the weather is. We will definitely choose this property for out next travel to Akureyri.

I was surprised about the size of cottage, it is really big inside and have a lot of space and cosy living room. Also the hot tube was great!

Exceptional

The staff was quite friendly. And the location was perfect. The facilities were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at Akureyri Cottages.

There is nothing we didn't like.

Great for a weekend getaway

It was spacious, which is what a family of 6 needs. It was also nice to have an access to a hot tub.

It doesn’t have a double bed, but that one is on me, I should have read the description better. otherwise I can’t fault it.

Lovely cute log cabin's and nice interior setup. A very pleasant surprise.

Excellent location, close to grocery stores. Nice hot tub covered outside the cabin. Easy to warm up use as advertised.

Would have preferred couple of basic items in the kitchen like Salt, Pepper and Cooking oil. That would have made the stay really super.

Very good

We love the place.

We stayed for two nights. All of us were itching while sleeping. It must have something to do with the bed linens/bed sheets. It could be bed bugs or mites. The rest is fine.

Cheap, comfortable and centrally-located stay

The cabin was spacious and comfortable. The whole compound is located conveniently right next to a pizza place and within 5 minutes walk of a supermarket. The city centre is just 5 minutes drive away.

Not really a hassle but the process to check in is a bit complicated.
