Overall, a nice place stay in Akureyri

Central location, 5 mins drive from the airport, various facilities in the room (pots, pans, cutlery, stove, microwave, fridge, washing machine, coffee maker).

Poor soundproofing. At one night nextdoor there were some British girlies who couldn't stop shouting and screaming late into the night, and the walls didn't help with that.

The location is excellent—very central and close to everything. The check-in process was good and the host was responsive. Good value for money, based on location.

The apartment was not clean, with dust and crumbs around the sofa. As others have mentioned, the sofa is quite old and peeling, so it could use a replacement. The dishwasher was still full when we arrived, and the bathroom sink was clogged, making it unusable. There was also an unpleasant odor in the bathroom. The kitchen was missing quite a few things like more glasses and utensils.
