Very good

Friendly staff, super location

I wanted to check in on Sunday so the hotel asked me to send my credit card data via email :/ It sounded like a scam so I had to contact them and convince them that I would not do this. But then the receptionist was very friendly and allowed me to pay the day after.

Reasonably priced hotel, fine for a short trip. Not luxurious, but cheap and comfortable.

The Hotel was easy to check in to even though I arrived after the reception was closed. They have lock boxes for the keys. Rooms are spacious and quiet.

Rooms are a little tired and shabby. The hotel has not been updated or renovated for a long time. The internet is not very fast.

I wish the hotel did not cancel my booking and then charge me.

Location and price looked good but as the hotel cancelled on me before I arrived I can't verify that to be true.

Although I provided a check-in time (on request) at the time of booking, several days in advance of my arrival, the hotel cancelled my booking before I arrived. They claimed that I was not contactable by phone or email. When my plane landed I received their message cancelling my booking. I went to the hotel anyway and could not gain access. I had to book and pay for another hotel at 11pm that night. Some days later my card was charged for a stay which the hotel cancelled. I raised the issue with booking.com who advised it could take 5 business days to resolve. This time has now passed and I have received no further communication.

Nice opera quartier, easy access to Rathaus, Elbphilharmony, Mini-world, HVV boat stations.

Opera district. Easy to move from Jungfernstieg to Landungsbruken-HVV Boat station: fish market, Reeperban and Elbphilharmony (S1,S3). From Jungfernstieg to uberseequartier (U4), just one station to Miniature world, Elbphilharmony (This was so useful!). Stadtkrug and close fish resto, Fischerstube. The hotel is professionally operated with check-in and check-out. The room has an elegant high ceiling with well equipped heating.

Poor pillows quality

The location is perfect, the place is clean and the room had a good size.

The only problem was the pillows, they are extremely poor quality. If you don't use a pillow for sleeping I would recommend this place, if you really need it, try to negotiate an upgrade in pillows before arriving or something because you will not be able to sleep.

Cheap in every aspect.

Photographs look much better than reality. I asked the recepcionist if they could keep my luggage while I was on meetings all day, since the recepcion was closed before 10:00 am and I had to leave the room by 7:30, so they would have had to pick up the luggage from the room and keep it somewhere else, but they refused to do it, they wouldn't move my luggage from the room to the luggage room for me. Then I asked for the receipt and she said that she had many other invoices to do first, there was noone else there, in a very upsetting tone.

Comfortable enough bearing in mind the short time spent in Hamburg. Got things done due to location

Location is very good when one has little time and several appointments. Proximity to Underground and to Train Station Dammtor.

Would have liked a prettier choice of furniture and a fresh coat of paint on the walls.....

Pleased with my choice. It was just right for a tourist on a short visit.

Location is great. Room was quite grand with a high ceiling and elaborate cornices. Shower and bathroom worked well.

Polyester sheets make it harder to get to sleep on a warm summer night. The functional bathroom design spoils the aesthetics of an otherwise beautiful room.

Amazing location, but hotel is very basic.

Efficient

Excellent location. Away from but just round the corner from the busy lake area. Also extremely close to essentiel services - baker's for breakfast etc

Disappointing

Location is exceptional

Sadly the walls are very thin so you hear all kinds of noise from inside and outside. Can't sleep until way late at night. Also the bathroom is tiny, the desk is tiny and Wifi barely okay. Not a place to do remote work in the evenings.

Was good!

Super easy to reach from all bus or train stations. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

A very weird smell throughout the hotel and even in room.
