It was in a prime location for visiting major tourist attractions:
a 6-minute walk to the Duomo,
a 12-minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio
, and a 30-minute walk to Piazzale Michelangelo.
There was also a CONAD supermarket just a five-minute walk away.
There are many reviews mentioning the lack of air conditioning, but there was a portable spot cooler, which was a lifesaver.
The toilets and showers were shared, but they were cleaned daily.
It was helpful having a shared refrigerator available.
There was an espresso machine available in the common area from 8:00 to 11:00, allowing me to enjoy breakfast.
There is no kitchen or washing machine, but I suppose that can't be helped. I am satisfied given the location and the price.

Great location for sight seeing, the room we had was large with a very stylish bathroom, staff were friendly and efficient, it was like staying in a castle
A minor issue for the heatwave this year was the air con could have been a small bit colder, also no lift upstairs which some people might not like

Friendly manager gave us great tips about local area. The room was very spacious and decorated beautifully and had common areas to meet up with other travellers. We were given clear instructions about our arrival and we were offered bag storage on our final day.
Unfortunately no air conditioning. We had fans instead. The hotel is walkable from the train station, but difficult with large bags. Buses were small and we couldn’t fit in after buying tickets.

Huge room with shared bathroom in a 17th century building. Friendly staff.
Due to the heatwave, very hot and humid in room, no AC, small fans didn’t work well making it very difficult to sleep.
