We didn’t like the bathroom facilities in the room. The step into the bath was very high and that was the only way to shower. There were so many with unnecessary confusing buttons to operate the shower, very 1998 style. A simple shower would have been great.

We were looked after so well by all the staff, in particular Malak. He went out of his was to make out trip perfect, and it was.
The Rooms were very comfy with great river views.

The hotel overlooking the river Nile was beautiful, especially watching sunset from the balcony.
All the staff were absolutely wonderful, kind and very polite. We Enjoyed the wide spread of breakfast selection. Pool side Food & drink was great. À la carte Dinner at the Italian restaurant was delicious. The service in all areas was superb. House keeping did a great job in keeping our rooms clean every day. The beds were so comfortable to sleep on. Front of house team and customer relation were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back and stay in Sonesta St George again.

The location right on the Nile is nice, however, with so much construction in the area it was impossible to enjoy the pool area at all
There is construction inside the hotel they’re renovating rooms, and surrounding area is all under construction. The roads are wrapped up as they are preparing for The Four Seasons hotel to open up in approximately one year from now. There’s loads of noise, dust, construction workers everywhere. The pool area was terrible. There was fake grass and carpet all over the deck which looked tattered and dirty. There were black tarps, hanging all around the side of the pool likely to prevent dust from entering the pool. The pool is sunken down you cannot see anything from there. Photos on the website look much better than reality.
