The neighborhood was quiet — exceptionally quiet — and I slept like a baby hippo every night. The beds were comfortable, and I loved having a kettle with coffee and tea so I could make a warm drink late at night or early in the morning without bothering room service.
The Embrace has a large food menu with plenty of options, plus an awesome pool in the back where I could unwind. There’s also a big meditation room, perfect for moments of mindfulness after long days exploring Luxor.
I appreciated that a convenience store was just a short walk away, making it easy to stock up on drinks and snacks for the week.
Mr. Mostafa and his loyal crew delivered exceptional, extra‑mile service. They truly take care of you and help you enjoy your tomb‑raiding adventures in Luxor.
The Embrace will always be my first choice of stay.
There is always room for improvement, and I’ll share the few things that felt uncomfortable.
The first issue was punctuality. Occasionally, requested rides arrived late. If you plan to stay here, be flexible and avoid tight schedules. Also remember there is no Uber or Lyft in Cairo, so plan transportation accordingly.
Second, on my first day I found hair under the shower drain. After informing Mr. Mostafa, the shower and bathroom were immediately cleaned — true extra‑mile service — but it was still an unpleasant first impression.
Third, on my check‑out morning, the included intercontinental breakfast was unexpectedly limited. I was only served yogurt, cheese, bread, and an omelette. I’m not sure why the potatoes, falafel, and the rest of the items I had been receiving every day were missing.
Fourth, be prepared for Wi‑Fi issues. The Wi‑Fi doesn’t always work well inside the rooms and tends to be more reliable in the lobby. In my experience, this is common throughout Cairo and Luxor, so make sure you have a reliable mobile network or travel data plan in case the hotel Wi‑Fi isn’t usable

Amazing boutique hotel on the west bank of Luxor, far from the hustle and bustle, and very authentic.
Very nice refreshing pool in the shade.

The interior of the hotel is good.
No wifi in the room. And the location is not safe at all. Specifically for Solo woman travellers.
