Back to basics, steeped in history, an amazing location. Beautiful country side retreat. Great atmosphere, restaurant was basic but perfect serving fresh food and a well stocked bar.
Nothing, the hotel was as expected.

Short drive outside of the city means a calm environment, a beautiful park to walk through and secure parking. A perfect stop for a road trip in the area, the room arrangements work for both couples or groups of friends. Friendly staff, English is no issue.
Average breakfast, and the only water available in the room was from the minibar. Fairly cheap, but still a little disappointing when looking for a refreshment after a long drive.

The location is beautiful. We loved seeing the horses in the arena. It felt very relaxed and family orientated. Almost has a youth camp feel. The restaurant was also great for breakfast and dinner. The staff were wonderful.
The rooms are definitely tired. It's not a place to come to spend a lot of time in your room. Much better to spend it in the grounds.
