The property is owned by an elderly couple who take great pride in their hotel. The woman who runs the breakfast is lovely and very accommodating. The location is on a steep street and up a steep driveway with tight parking. It is within reasonable walking distance to restaurants and the center of town. It has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
Given the $300 I paid per night, I was utterly shocked at the rooms, which were incredibly, incredibly outdated. The room looked like it was decorated in the 70s, and mine had a foul, old odor to it. It was also incredibly basic with no amenities, like a refrigerator or kettle. It felt like staying with very strict grandparents. Seating is assigned in the breakfast room so don't even think about asking for a different seat! For elderly guests, it would be incredibly challenging as there is no elevator and walking to town would be too difficult.

Loved the staff, the breakfast, the location (although a bit up the hill, it's close to the Betania bus stop for trips out of town and a short walk to Ortisei town centre), and the room was super comfortable with daily cleaning! Awesome effort from the staff :)
One minor thing was that the beds were a little squeaky and the mattress a bit too hard for me personally, but I'm just the kind of person who needs a soft mattress! Honestly would come back anyway.

Breakfast and dinner was very good, the owners and staff are very nice and friendly in particular Katerina. Room was very clean. Parking very convenient in a garage at the premises.
Not a real issue but shower cubicle was a bit too small, could have a kettle in the room but no complaints at all.

A lovely breakfast room and good breakfast
We were given a room with construction going on immediately outside our window. We had to close our curtains the entire time because the workman could look in on us
