Hotel mit Homestay-Charakter

Das Frühstücksbüffet hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Inhaber sprechen hervorragend Englisch und haben uns bei Planungsproblemen gern geholfen.

Parfait pour un séjour à Kandy

L'accueil. La propreté et la qualité de l' équipement de la chambre et la salle de bain. Le fabuleux petit déjeuner. L'emplacement dans une petite rue calme et pas très loin du temple et du lac.

Кристально чистота в отеле.

Некорректно работает wi-fi, низкая скорость интернета. Чтобы найти отель нужно свернуть в прогулок от центральной дороги.В номере был балкон,вот только выйти на него можно было через окно.

Если знать эти нюансы, то гостиница норм!

Номер неплохой, вода в душе с хорошим напором. Чайник и кондиционер работали. Только унитаз шатался, будто не закреплен к полу и туалетную бумагу забыли положить, после просьбы дать ее- также не принесли.

350 метров от ж/д станции - это линейкой по карте померили! Пешком там не дойти, так как домами перекрыта прямая дорога! Реально надо ехать на туктуке пару- тройку километров по загруженной дороге. Просто обман! Если и выбрали данный отель, то название гостиницы на туктуке говорите полностью, потому что есть без My, просто City Hotel, который находится в другой стороне от вокзала.

Perfect pick for Kandy

Great hotel run by lovely family. We received a warm welcome and plenty of local advice. Our room was spacious and spotless and had everything we needed. Great shower, lovely hot water, water, welcome drink on arrival, great wifi plus TV if you want it. The breakfast was wonderful and huge. Lots of fresh fruit and sweet breads plus local dishes. The french toast was amazing. The location was excellent - a short walk to the city and lake plus close to the train station. Good restaurants nearby.

Centrally located place run by a lovely professional family who was always there to interact with and get information from ! Big thank you for the « mum » who cooked us an unforgettable breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and westernalized.

Very clean and spacious room with a great view over Kandy (an actual photo from the room window is attached) and a super-comfortable bed. Nicely located just minutes away from the city center and the train station, and just far enough away from a busy street to make sure there's no noise coming through the windows. Super-helpful staff - the manager even helped me arrange the tickets for the Kandy-Ella train 1 month before arrival as it's kind of difficult to buy them without a local phone number, and every morning he would personally cook me a different breakfast based around traditional Sri Lankan cuisine (with enough food to feed at least 2 persons), as I just happened to be the only guest in the whole hotel at the time (the season was about to end). If you're coming to Kandy and looking for a place to stay, look no further.

The wall fixtures in the bathroom could use some tightening up, but nothing too serious, really. There was no power outlet anywhere near the desk to plug in my laptop - but when I mentioned this to the reception staff they had an extension cord delivered to the room almost instantly.

Great central choice for a night or two in Kandy

Great place, with friendly staff and a clean and tidy hotel at end of quiet street. It’s close to most attractions and the train station. Breakfast was a surprise feast of fresh juices, fruit, amazing French toast, and Sri Lankan specialties. Our deluxe double Room was comfortable with nice lighting and excellent wi-fi (fastest we’ve had in Sri Lanka)

Curtains could be a little darker, and second sleeping pillows would be nice addition. And maybe some more places to put things (hooks, table) in the extra space of room. Walk to and from train station was longer and less pleasant due to areas blocked by construction walls. Avoid tuktuks at school time traffic jams in Kandy!

If you're thinking about booking here, definitely do it.

A great place to stay, set back from the main road so not too noisy, but perfectly located to walk into town and get to the train or bus stations. The owner and staff were so friendly and went above and beyond, upgrading my room for free and dropping us to the station in time for the morning train. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom was spotless and everything was clean. The welcome drink and breakfast were delicious with a lot of food. A home from home, and I'd definitely stay again if in Kandy!

A little noise from the road but always to be expected in Kandy! Everything was perfect.

staff very nice and welcoming, room large and spacious. bed comfortable. lots of effort put into breakfast. lots of effort each day, have us a sample of traditional Sri Lankan food. really nice touch.

location was in the centre but on the wrong side. 20 min walk to most restaurants and shops. hot water intermittent, was hit and miss whether you’d have a nice shower. WiFi went down for a night but was rectified the next day.

Great location, clean rooms, amazing owners!

If you are going to Kandy you have to stay here! The location is perfect for basing yourself in the centre with most places just a short walk away. The rooms are modern and very clean which had been sanitized before our stay. This is a family run hotel and the owner (I forgot her name so sorry) is probably one of the nicest people we met during our time in Sri Lanka, she was so helpful and friendly and just great to talk to in general!

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, exellent wifi, breakfast at your choice, very friendly owners and no mosqito! Close to rail station, close to city, everything within walking distance... Would recommend anytime.

A wonderful stay in Kandy thanks to My City Hotel

Excellent place to stay in Kandy with warm, welcoming, hospitable owners and modern comforts of A/C and hot rain shower. They really go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay, as well as prepared a special Sri Lankan coconut roti and curries for breakfast for me since I mentioned I love Sri Lankan food. Location is really close to center yet on a side street making it totally quiet.

Amazing stay! The Manager kindly recommended what to do in one day in Kandy and I had a beautiful glimpse of the city thanks to his suggestions. The room was clean and tidy and the internet worked perfectly. The location if you need to catch the train is unbeatable.

Amazing place !

We chose the place because it's so close to station and centre. The hosts warmly welcomed us including the mini boss :) ! They took all time to explain the must sees and can dos of Kandy. Even got a free upgrade, but believe even the standard room would have been as great. Fantastic bathroom, really quiet. The breakfast was superb, haven't had that much fruit in a week in SL. We would definitely come again, and wish the bosses and mini bosses all the best!
