Tastefully furnished in lodge log decor with a free standing gas fireplace stove in the living room. Full bathroom with shower only. Through the wall air conditioning, cable TV, and wifi for your comfort and relaxation. All bedding, linens, and towels are provided. The full size kitchen comes with a stove/range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. It is equipped for basic cooking and eating. Outside on the patio is a gas grill, picnic table, and patio chairs for your evening bar-b-q. The cottages set in a park like setting with mature trees, and lots of lush lawn. Just a short walk to the paved bike path or to the lake for some recreation. Located by beautiful Canyon Lake in Rapid City just thirty minutes from Mt Rushmore. Easy access to all Black Hills area attractions. Most attractions including Mt Rushmore are 30 minutes or less. Bring your bikes, walking shoes, or roller blades and enjoy the great paved bike trail that goes for miles along Rapid Creek. Trout fishing in both the Creek and the lake. Paddle boats are available for rent to mingle with the ducks and geese on the lake. Playgrounds for the kids and best of all, mosquitoes are not a problem. Bike rentals to enjoy the miles of paved bike paths around the lake and along the creek.

We really enjoyed our stay at Canyon Lake. Beautiful facilities, helpful staff, not too buggy. Room was a little warm even with the AC on, but the fans in the rooms were helpful. Nice shower pressure. Would stay here again.

Loved the grounds. We saw dear while out walking around the grounds of the property. We spent a lot of time on the front porch. Our only complaint was the sofa/futon. You could actually see the shape and location of the springs from across the room. Was definitely not comfortable to sit on, much less to sleep on. However, we would stay there again.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Campground was quiet and clean, cabin was perfect. Only complaint is shower would not get hot, but all other water in the cabin would. If in the area again will definitely stay here.

My husband and I brought our 3 children (15, ,12, 6) to Rapid City to see the sites and picked the 2 room cabin to stay at. We are so pleased with everything about our stay. Check in was smooth and the cabin was very clean and cozy. The space was perfect for us. The temperature was very hot during our stay but the a/c kept the place cool. There were also fans in each of the bedrooms if we needed them. The location was great as it was on the side of Rapid City closest to the sites we wanted to see. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others as well!

We stayed three nights in a cabin on the property. The rooms and living room were great, and the bathroom had everything we needed. We loved sitting out at the picnic table and walking around the camp. Gorgeous property!

Great base camp for all the Black Hills has to offer

This cabin was great for a family. Much better than trying to get a few hotel rooms. We were able to have a kitchen, living area, and play games and sit outside at night. Very close to Black Hills, Custer State Park, Deadwood, etc. hosts were great, our flight was delayed and they were great about keeping us check in late. I would definitely recommend!
