The place was absolutely lovely. You could feel a sense of peace as soon as you walked in, and everything was beautifully decorated with great taste and attention to detail. We would definitely come back!
The staff were impeccable — always attentive and happy to help with anything we needed. The cleanliness and overall care of the property were also excellent. They were always happy to clean the room, change the towels, etc., whenever needed. The gardens and pool were also very well maintained and spotless.
The atmosphere was perfect for a few days of switching off, relaxing, and completely disconnecting from everyday life.
If I had to mention something, it would be accessibility. Having a car is essential, and the road to the property can be a little difficult to navigate at times, especially if you’re not familiar with the area, so it’s easy to get a bit lost. However, the staff are always very happy to help if needed. As a possible area for improvement, it could be nice to offer some activities such as yoga or sports.

The authenticity of the hotel.
The gardens and pool were beautiful and relaxing.
The room was quiet, room temperature excellent, the bedding was comfortable and the shutters blocked out the light.
The breakfast was nice and filling.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
The room could of had a bar fridge.

Pretty facility and friendly staff
This hotel has huge potential but much of it is not realized. While the place is very impressive and the staff is wonderful there were a number of issues that made it less than expected:
1. this is a historical building which obviously means "older". I understand that one wants to preserve the character but there are still several opportunities to modernize. just some examples: there aren't enough electrical plugs in the rooms and they are hard to reach. The A/C struggles to keep up with the temperature and leaks if in constant use.
2. we ordered a high-end room with a balcony. We did get it, but we did know is that it was adjoining the kitchen. I have never had such a location in any hotel. ever. I must say that the kitchen staff must have made an effort to be quiet but during the post-dinner cleanup they could not help making noise.
3. The property is very large. The main pool is a substantial distance from the building. which makes it unlikely to be enjoyed.
4. In a four star hotel, I expect a fridge in the room. We travel with snacks and medicine. Likewise, no coffee machine in the room.
5. the shower did have any shelf for soap or shampoo. It had to sit on the floor.
I know that many hotels in Europe don't include free breakfast but in this case it was really frustrating. The hotel is isolated and the only option is a 19 Euro breakfast per person. All I need is a pastry and a coffee and I was not prepared to pay that. We ended up paying 6 Euros for breakfast for two people in town.
Unlike other reviewers, I did not find the restaurant to be very expensive but, by the same token, I did not find particularly special. I ordered a Ceviche which was extremely disappointing. I think the fish was actually cooked (you are only supposed to marinate it). My main course of fish was good but completely devoid of any accompaniments.
