I liked this little non pretencious hotel on the centre overlooking the river and historical buildings of Bilbao. Within walking distance to the heart of the town with everything within reach. The hotel is simple but had everything we needed for a night's stay and we had a little balcony with a great view . Of course it would need a bit of a touch up but the location made up for it.

The location is just perfect to visit the city. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel at check out and pick it up later on.
There was a coffee and tea station at the reception.
The rooms were very poorly isolated and you could hear literally everything from the other rooms and the floor.
My room was interior and quite hot. There's no air conditioning, and I had to sleep with the window open.

Central location between the old town & Guggenheim, with a lovely walk down the river in both directions. Receptionist was very friendly & welcoming. The place was spotlessly clean but could do with a paint refresh. For instance, the bathroom radiator was only half painted 1 coat of newer paint at some stage in the distant past.
The bed was more rock hard than firm which didnt provide a good nights sleep. While previous reviews had mentioned the doors being an issue, they didnt go far enough to explain the problem. Imagine being in an old prison with doors slamming & banging & keys jangling all through the night & day. This is not a hotel if you are looking to rest easy. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room either, but you really didnt want to spend any additional time in the room
