2nd visit to vanilla Garden and were not disappointed lovely hotel,staff and location.

Vanilla Garden is a jewel of a hotel! The moment we stepped into the property we received a very friendly greeting from the Front Desk staff (René and Mario) plus a well-needed welcome drink as we had been traveling a long way from New York City. René was excellent at providing information about the property, the ammennities it provided as well as how to get around the town. Mario was also very helpful during his shifts and made our stay very pleasant. The hotel itself is beautiful, immaculately kept and well situated in a quiet area of the town. The grouds of the hotel are amazing and the breakfast that was included was plentiful and delicious. Our stay couldn't have been better, but what really impressed us about Vanilla Garden was the staff and how attentive and friendly they were with all the guests. Even the cat "Vanilla" was a delight to be with. Thank you for providing a great experience for your guests and we look forward to visit you again! Best regards, Benjamin Urízar & Hans-Joerg Renner

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. There is a hotel cat which automatically gives it an extra star. The bed was great, as were the showers. Rooms relatively modern although not every outlet working. Great location near the beach. Nice and quiet pool. There was just enough sun loungers but high season might be stretching it a bit.
Someone violently broke in to our room on our last visit (while we were in the room), caused structural damage and violently threatened us, and absolutely no one cared. After complaining we were told to report to check in if we visited again to discuss discounts or upgrades. Thinking it was an unlucky one off, we rebooked and were then told 'that manager doesn't work here anymore' and that was the end of it. Upon protesting, we're given a 'pool view' upgrade. Not sure in what way it was an upgrade, same room type, but located next to the maintenance room (a lot of noise), and the housekeeping station (again more noise). Despite asking for housekeeping, our room was missed 3 of the 4 days (request 'on' for a min of 5 or 6 hours each day). The balcony door was extremely difficult to open. The air conditioning in the room was terrible, despite choosing a temperature on the AC unit, it simply didn't work. We had to buy 2 x small fans for the room in order to get any sleep.
