Overpriced for what it is.

Low value for money compared to other places we stayed in in iceland. No basic stocks in house, like salt, pepper, oil, toilet paper, etc. Location is isolated, only interesting if you have serious 4X4 for going up to highlands.

Good

This is a well-located set of cabins right by one of the entry points to the highlands, so we stayed there after a day of driving and hiking along the northern part of F208. With that in consideration, this is a fairly good stay, as the cabin was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a well-working heater in the room. The staff in the reception room were also very friendly at check-in.

The wifi connection in the cabin was quite spotty. We also had some issues with the water heater for the shower -- after the first person in our family took his shower (~15 min), the second person waited for about 20 minutes to let the water heater recover. The shower at that point only ran hot water for ~5 minutes and then persistently put out cold water every time it was tested for the next hour, so she ended up using the sink to rinse out the rest of her shampoo. The water heater had no issues the next morning, so it appears that it is ocassionally testy.

Beautiful remote location, along the river. Well equipped cottages. Kitchenette with oven! Very welcome super mini grocery store on site. Bus stop on site.Careful garbage sorting. Eco-friendly management.

Exceptional

The place is situated only a few minutes drive from route F225 to Landmannalaugar, which makes it very convenient to start off or to get back after a tiring day, as we did. The bonus is that the owner sells the basic groceries you need for your stay, by the unit (see pic). Otherwise the closest place to get them would be something like 30 minutes drive from there (one way...). It's not a supermarket, but it's certainly enough if you get stuck.

Nice place.

Spacious clean room, fully equipped kitchen. The double deck beds seemed dubious at first but they turned out to be very comfortable.

No WIFI in the rooms. Also no nets on the windows so due to the Icelandic small flies of which there are thousands in the vicinity, you can't open the ei down to ventilate the rooms.

Was fine until bedbug bites appeared 😖

Everything was fine during the stay. Is exactly like in the pictures.

There are bedbugs! 😖😖 24h after leaving the place we all had trails of bug bites on our bodies.

Loved the cabin, great location for hiking, wish there was wifi in each cabin.

Everything was great! Loved the little cabin, very cozy. Perfect location for hiking Landmannalaugar the next day.

Only bummer was though there is wifi on the property, there is not wifi in each individual cabin.

Very halpful and friendly staff and the house is very claen

The shower is not good. Not enough hot water if you have long hair and the showerhead very bad.

Cabins are spacious, beds are confortable, the terrasse is well appreciated you can enjoy the sun set, really quiet

Equipment can be improved (for example having a set of glasses not just one glass for win, 2 for beer and one for water). The cleaning can also be a bit better
