Location is truly great. It's close to the beach, and a big boulevard where traffic is completely restricted during weekends. It's fantastic for walking, and the vibes are great.
Plenty of restaurants and cafe's in the area.
Breakfast has a decent variety of items.
The breakfast area on the 6th floor has a very nice view.
Free private parking.
Friendly staff, very happy with them.
Working AC.
Three problems come to mind.
I. Accomodation:
I reserved a queen room, but received a room with 2 single beds, joined with a long sponge bar under the bed sheet. I think I wasn't supposed to notice.
I contacted the staff, but they only had a room with queen bed available for the next day. I decided to keep the initial room, because my booking was for 2 nights, and I didn't want to lose time with moving rooms for the one remaining night.
Usually, the customer is offered something when such booking mistakes are made, but I wasn't offered anything.
A bit too much sound manages to slip through the windows, I think they should be checked. I was able to hear people talking in the street from the 3rd floor, with the windows closed, haha.
II. Breakfast:
The breakfast was kinda scarce and some items were stale, even during a weekend (Saturday and Sunday morning).
For example:
1. On both days I only found 1 or 2 fried eggs, and no scrambled eggs at all.
2. Some of the sliced vegetables and cheese varieties seemed to be yesterday's leftovers, but they weren't spoiled.
3. There were some cookie varieties but they were cheap varieties and stale
4. The water was held in 5L bottles, and you had to pour directly from those big bottles into your glasses. Not a bug deal, but quite weird. First time I see this at a hotel.
II. Bathroom ceiling has open slices
The bathroom ceiling is not closed. It's an "open" technical ceiling, made of multiple perforated metal bars, with spaces in-between them. This makes the bathroom feel very un-private. It feels uneasy to have big gaps in the bathroom ceiling.
