Wi-Fi could use significant improvement- it didn’t work well while we were there. It was extremely slow

I knew I was staying at a 2-star hotel. Deep down, I was prepared for the worst, but I realized we were only staying for four nights and didn’t want to spend too much. The hostel pleasantly surprised us with crisp white sheets, comfortable beds, snow-white towels, a full set of toiletries in the bathroom, private rooms, and generous breakfasts that were both plentiful and varied (4 types of sausage, cheese, eggs, pastries for tea, a microwave, a couple of kettles, plenty of dishes, and quick removal of dirty dishes. One day we met a young man who spoke English and was very willing to help us figure out our itinerary. For the next 3 days, we interacted with Sara (who doesn’t speak English), BUT she was very responsive to our questions and kept the place tidy. Very dedicated staff!
There was an issue that really annoyed me at first. There were five options for connecting to the internet, but none of them reached our room—number 9—which was the farthest from the router. But then, while having tea in the kitchen, we used the internet to stream videos and for my work on my laptop. But honestly, we got back to our room so late after exploring Barcelona that the Wi-Fi in the room wasn’t really a priority.

Air conditioning was nice and it was clean.
The dining area, I like a hostel where you can hang out, this place just has folding chairs and tables in a corridor.
Breakfast only had butter and I’m vegan so toast was off the cards.
Also no staff onsite after 1509.
