We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Domus Ferruccio for a too short stay in Roma. The room with ensuite bathroom is located in an elegant old building (with elevator!) in the Esquilino neighbourhood, handy to the Roma Termini train station, bus connections to the airport and to the City Metro. The area has numerous parks and is very walkable, handy to a number of major attractions.
The room is well equipped (includes a small fridge and kettle for tea/coffee in the room) and also has access to a kitchen facility with laundry machine for use of guests.
David, the host, was very helpful and communicated well as we headed into Roma by train so that he could meet us on arrival and show us the facilities, and make suggestions for food and coffee in the neighbourhood. He provided a very useful resource guide online for our reference.
We recommend Domus Ferruccio for a convenient and economical stay in Roma.
A minor lack of hot water in the shower on one morning.

The rental was extremely clean and well stocked. It had access to a shared kitchen with anything you need to prepare little meal. We had a small refrigerator in our room. We spent most of our time out sightseeing. Just so you are prepared, the accommodations are compact but comfortable.. Pricing was modest and we loved the attentiveness of the host. He helped us navigate transportation and he gave us restaurant recommendations. We were only in town for three nights so we decided not to use the metro system and took a taxi everywhere. It was a good decision for us but if you wanted to, buses and metro were just a 3 minute walk.
There was no where to unwind. The room was so small that we had to sit on the bed to eat or just plan our next day. For us it worked but just know these accommodations are perfect if you plan to spend all your time sightseeing.
