The staff, Victor, picked us up from the train station when we arrived. He was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. The distance from the train station was not far but it's walking up hill.
There was only one elevator and it was a little bit slow.

We stayed at Taypikala Machupicchu during our visit to Machu Picchu and had a mixed but overall positive experience.
One of the highlights was the excellent service. The hotel staff picked us up from the train station and even gave us a short tour of the village on the way to the hotel, which was a nice touch. Since the hotel is located at the top of Aguas Calientes, the transfer was especially appreciated.
Our room was spacious and offered beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Another service we really valued was that the hotel delivered our luggage to the train station on departure day, allowing us to explore the village freely without carrying our bags.
On the downside, the bathroom felt quite dated and had some mold in places, along with a rather unpleasant odor that never completely disappeared. I was also not entirely convinced about the cleanliness of the bedding, as we found a few hairs in the bed upon arrival.
Breakfast was adequate and provided the basics, but it was not particularly memorable and could be improved considering the overall standard of the hotel.
