We stayed at Amano for 2 nights because we went to Spiel in Essen on Sunday.
We liked the atmosphere and the looks of the hotel.
It was very easy to find and available parking around the corner.
The room was simple but fine.
The first night was not one of the best nights we've had but Angelo really helped us out.
He even came up to our room with a solution. We are very grateful to him because he turned a negative experience into something positive, making our stay at Amano much more enjoyable at the end.
We also had a drink and played a game at the bar. Nice bar with good assortment.
Also liked that you can walk to the center and that it has different restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
We didn't like the bed in our room, it was too soft and one mattress was really worn down and sagging. We didn't have a good night sleep and we didn’t fancy spending another night in that room.
We went to the reception and (as mentioned earlier) Angelo really helped us out.
At first we weren't too happy with the solution and had to think about it and we almost decided to no longer sleep at the hotel, but then Angelo came up to our room to offer us to switch rooms.
That was really kind of him, and we slept wonderfully on the second night. These mattresses are definitely better quality.

The room was so spacious and the bed was so comfortable.. And great location.
There was no complimentary slippers , dental kit. and there was a little stains in the bathroom that looks dirty.
