The room was spacious and the bathroom was a decent size and updated - water pressure was amazing!!! Beds were fairly comfortable, breakfast was plentiful, and staff were very kind. it was particularly hot despite air-conditioning and after the first night they provided us with a fan which was much appreciated.
The air-conditioning was ok but not great which made it uncomfortable to rest in our room during the middle of the day. Given the age of the building this is understandable but installation of a mini-split in each room would be a huge improvement!! Also there was no ventilation in the bathroom - no fan and the window could not be opened due to mosquitos (there was no screen) which made things very stuffy in the room after showering. Consider installing a screen. The access to cool drinking water was only available at breakfast and given it was nearly 100 degrees this was a surprise for this level of hotel.
